Fans were left in hysterics on Tuesday after a hilarious prank was pulled on Today host Craig Melvin, as he fell victim to the latest viral TikTok trend, in a short but amusing clip.

page, Craig, 45, was seen arriving at the studio as usual, only to be met with an unexpected comment from a member of the production team who said, “Craig, I’m so hungry I could eat Leroy Doby.”

Looking completely confused, Craig paused, scanned the room, and asked, “Wait… how do you know Leroy?” The producer then went on to repeat the bizarre statement, saying: “I’m starving. I could really just eat Leroy Doby.”

Craig continued trying to make sense of it, asking, “Is Leroy here?” before finally giving up and laughing: “What game is this? What weirdness — witchcraft — have you?”

It turns out Craig had just been roped into the viral “I’m so hungry I could eat…” prank that’s been making the rounds on TikTok. The trend involves telling someone you’re so hungry you could eat a completely random, or oddly specific, person from their past, just to catch them off guard.

And in this case, it was Craig’s childhood best friend. A caption for the Instagram video read: “Leroy, where are you!? Craig is the latest person to be pranked with the ‘I’m so hungry I could eat’ trend. In it, the prankster randomly brings up someone from the other person’s past. Our social producer went with Craig’s childhood best friend, Leroy. #imsohungry.”

Fans couldn’t get enough of the clip, flooding the comments with jokes and praise for the prank. One viewer wrote, “I’m waiting for Leroy to respond to this now lol.”
