Dylan Dreyer STUNS Parents With 6 POWERFUL Words Of Warning About Taking Young Kids To Theme Parks That Make Everyone RECONSIDER

Dylan Dreyer is passing along priceless parenting advice for families looking to visit a theme park with young kids in tow.

Dylan and the TODAY team went to Orlando’s Universal Epic Universe to celebrate the new theme park ahead of its grand opening. But before that, during Mother’s Day weekend, the 3rd Hour of TODAY co-host toured its five worlds with husband Brian Fichera and the little VIPs in her life: sons Calvin, 8, Oliver, 5, and Rusty, 3.

When asked the best piece of advice for parents with young kids who are visiting a theme park for the first time, she sums up her guidance to TODAY.com in six words.

“Pack light and wear comfortable shoes,” she shares.

She gave three reasons to bring “just the essentials” at a theme park like Epic Universe: “It’s hot, you’re in Florida, there’s crowds.”

And that means, yes, even leaving the stroller behind.

“When it comes to a stroller, you think you need all that stuff. I would recommend renting the stroller there,” she says. “Yes, it’s a little more expensive but, especially if you’re not staying on the property, you get on and off that shuttle bus, it’s just a little to carry with the kids.”

While renting a stroller means spending a bit more money on vacation, Dylan says that the choice will alleviate stress while at the amusement park itself.

Dylan practiced what she preached at Epic Universe and brought only a small backpack when visiting with her three boys. For attractions that won’t allow you to bring items on the ride, look for nearby lockers, she says.

“You can keep it with you most of the time, and if there’s a spot that you can’t keep it with you, then there’s a locker right there as part of line that you can put your stuff,” she explains.

As far as the advice about comfy shoes is concerned, Dylan once again sums it up simply: If your kids aren’t happy, you won’t be happy.

“If the kids are complaining about their shoes, then it’s just going to be miserable, so make sure they’re in comfortable shoes,” she says.

On May 11, Dylan shared photos and videos on Instagram of her family’s trip to Epic Universe, which mainly took place in Super Nintendo World with a ride on Mario Kart: Bowser’s Castle and a meal at Toadstool Cafe.

“What a special little weekend getaway we had at the new Epic Universe!” she wrote in the caption.
