Matthew is a part of the new cast for The Traitors which aired on New Year’s Day

A star of The Traitors has caused a stir by sharing fully nude photos to their Instagram page.

Creative Director Matthew, 35, hailing from Northern Ireland, made his first appearance on the BBC One show, which kicked off a new series on New Year’s Day.

On Instagram, Matthew’s profile boasts over 16,000 followers and six posts, showing images of the reality star flaunting his backside, occasionally obscured with a peach emoji.

Matthew’s Instagram bio cheekily states: “Yes, they’re real. Instagram hates my” followed by a peach emoji, hinting at his penchant for baring his backside.

A fortnight ago, he posted a throwback snap where he playfully covered his bare bum with an emoji for the first time, leading one new follower to quip: “Can you do the same on The Traitors?”

In another post from November 2024, Matthew is seen executing a headstand in the snow, his chilly, pink bottom on full display, accompanied by the caption: “How it feels in Edinburgh today.”

Discussing his decision to join The Traitors, Matthew shared: “It’s an adventure and just seems fun. My New Year’s resolution was to have more adventures, and what I meant by that was more hiking, canoe trips, and camping, that sort of thing, but I’ve watched The Traitors and absolutely loved it, so I just thought why not give it a go.”

Matthew’s page focuses on his nudity

Ahead of the launch, Matthew opened up about what he wants to do with the win if he makes it that far in the game. Audiences watched as host Claudia Winkleman selected a fourth Traitor in a red cloak, whose identity is still a mystery to both the cast and viewers at home, and were introduced to 22 fresh players.

Matthew says he has one driving force for wanting to do the show. In his past advocacy for equal marriage rights in Northern Ireland before same-s3x marriage was legalised there in 2020, and the star humorously suggested that if he made it to the end of the series, he might finally tie the knot.

The contestant, one of 22 new faces on the show, which also features a retired police officer, a barrister, a lawyer, and a nursery teacher, has shared his plans for the prize money should he emerge victorious.

In a chat before entering the castle, Matthew revealed his dream of purchasing a cottage in the Highlands, where he would reside with his partner, to whom he got engaged prior to COVID.

“At the time I was campaigning, I didn’t think I wanted to get married, but now I feel like I do. So having campaigned for marriage equality, I think that would make a better story at the last Round Table if I get there – it’s not cool to go against the gay contestant who wants to get married! I’d probably say I’m going to get married back home in Northern Ireland on my family farm. And if I win, I might just have to do that.”

Matthew is confident that his experience with endurance challenges and surviving in cold weather conditions will make him a valuable asset during the show’s physically demanding missions. He elaborated: “That’s one of my strategies as well – to be valuable. I’m not afraid of anything.”

“I’m sporty and I cold swim all the time, so the physical missions will be fine. I do a lot of bouldering and climbing, so heights are also fine, and I think I would relish all of them. The missions are what I’m really excited about, and I hope that’s a way to show you’re trying to bag some cash for the team and perhaps even secure a shield.”
