Fanny Biascamano has tragically di3d aged 46 following a battle with cancer. The singer is best known for representing France in the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest, where she famously performed the song, Sentiments Songes. Fanny, who was born in 1979, rose to fame at the age of 12, when she starred on France’s TF1 variety show, Sacrée Soirée and performed L’Homme à la moto by Édith Piaf. The stunning performance propelled her into the spotlight, as her cover was released as a single and sold over 3 million copies in France and Canada.
In 1991, Fanny went on to release the first of four albums she would create during her career. Six years later, the songstress performed on the global stage of Eurovision, where she was selected to represent France. The 1997 competition, which took place in Dublin, Ireland, where she finished in 7th place, after scoring 95 points, including 12 points from Estonia, Norway and Poland.

After the contest, Fanny continued to perform and tour across France, and in 2008, she toured the globe, performing covers of Édith Piaf’s songs.
Stepping away from the limelight, Fanny went on to become a writer, publishing three books, the two most recent being cookery books covering Southern French cuisine.
The singer’s d3ath was confirmed on Saturday (December 27) as her heartbroken family announced the tragic news the following evening, according to the newspaper Midi Libre.
Fans took to social media to share their heartfelt tributes as one remarked: “It’s sad..really too young.”
Another added: “Very sad. It’s this version of L’Homme à la moto that I sing to my children. It marked my childhood.”

A third echoed: “I hope she didn’t suffer too much from her illness, Beautiful flight to her soul.”
As one heartbroken fan shared: “What dreadful news. A beautiful and radiant artist—so many memories.”
A fifth added: “Gone too early. RIP Fanny,” as another penned: “Another sad piece of news, leaving us so young like that shouldn’t happen. But I offer my sincere condolences to the family and loved ones, and may his soul rest in peace.”
While one fan reflected: “Very sad news. Much too young to di3. I do remember her from Sacre Soirée. She came back every week because the viewers voted. RIP.”
