Adam Peaty has spoken out for the first time since he said ‘I do’ to Holly Ramsey at the lavish Bath wedding. The couple’s festive nuptials have been engulfed in drama following his ongoing family feud. But now, after several members of his family and close friends were uninvited to his star-studded wedding to Gordon Ramsay’s daughter, the swimmer has thanked Jesus for “everything”. The former Strictly star had initially planned to uninvite his whole family, with just one brother making the exception as his groomsman.

But as the wedding grew closer, things changed. Ultimately, it was only his sister Bethany who received an invite to the wedding, which was held at Bath Abbey. Now, Adam, who is going by the name Adam Ramsay Peaty, has spoken out.

Talking to Instagram, he shared a touching New Year’s Eve post looking back on 2025 as a newly-married man. He penned: “It’s the last day of 2025. Thank you, Jesus, for everything this year.”

Although his family was mostly absent on his big day, Adam and Holly were surrounded by a string of famous faces, including Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham, and many of his Strictly co-stars, including Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies and broadcaster Dan Walker.

In the lead-up to his nuptials, the dad-of-one came under fire for uninviting his parents, Caroline and Mark, to the wedding, while his sister Bethany had been accused of “betraying” her family by attending the ceremony.

Hours before he walked down the aisle, his aunt, Louise, hit out at Adam in a scathing text message, which he didn’t receive after blocking his family. She reportedly sent: “I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through, and despite it all, she loves you still. Shame on you both. Shame.

“Remember on this, your happiest day, and on each anniversary of your happiest day, that you hurt your mum so deeply her soul screams.” His latest post comes after Adam faced backlash for changing his name on social media to Adam Ramsay Peaty.

During the reception, Holly’s father Gordon appeared to slam Adam’s relatives during his father-of-the-bride speech, according to reports. The TV chef, who is known for his harsh criticism, branded his new son-in-law a “lucky man” while turning to his own wife Tana, telling him this is what he has to “look forward to”.

Addressing his daughter, Ramsay added: “Shame you don’t have the same”. Gordon also told the sportsman that Tana would be an amazing mum to both Adam and Holy. Adam also failed to mention his own family in his speech.

Instead, he praised his swimming coach for “everything” and said that she was responsible for “grounding and inspiring him”, adding she was “like a mum” to him.

Adam’s own mother said the fallout had left her feeling as though her son and Holly had “cut my heart out” on the eve of their wedding. She added: “I don’t think they understand how much they have hurt me. This is the first Christmas that I’ve not had my family together – my family is broken.

“Yes, I have my other grandchildren. Yes, I have my other children, but my family is split because of the goings on… because of the wedding.”
