Gordon Ramsay has spoken out about his daughter Holly’s wedding to Olympic star Adam Peaty over the weekend amid the couple’s feud with Adam’s family – who were snubbed on the day

Gordon Ramsay has broken his silence on his daughter Holly’s wedding to athlete Adam Peaty amid the pair’s feud with the Olympian’s family. Appearing on This Morning, Gordon defended his explosive father of the bride speech and said it was ‘perfect.’
The celebrity chef admitted it had been a “tough” gig but he stood up to the task at the star-studded nuptials in Bath Abbey in December.

Admitting he was a “hot mess” – while praising his jaw-dropping speech, Gordon told presenters, Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard: “Being a dad of three daughters, you dream of that moment. I was a hot mess but the speech was perfect, it went well. You’ve got to be warm and emotional but it was a tough gig.”

Revealing the speech “made everybody cry”, his eldest daughter Tilly added: “I was sat in his room for an hour as he was just reading through it.
“It was just like going through everything, but no tweaks were needed. It was perfect. It made everybody cry.
“It was so emotional but so incredible to see her and Adam so happy. It was a big day for all of us.” The Strictly Come Dancing star went on to describe the day as “perfect”.
Holly and Adam tied the knot on 27 December, however only one of Adam’s family members attended the nuptials amid the ongoing feud.
Adam’s mother was uninvited from his special day along with a few other members of the family – with just his sister Bethany attending.
The rift reportedly began when the swimming star’s mother Caroline bought a dress for the wedding which the couple didn’t approve of, before Caroline was left out of Holly’s glamorous hen do at Soho Farmhouse with Tana Ramsay and Victoria Beckham.
Gordon’s “perfect” speech at the wedding reportedly featured a number of digs at Adam’s family amid the ongoing feud between the Ramsays and the Peatys.
The Kitchen Nightmares star was understood to be heard saying his wife Tana “will be a good mum to them both,” amid the fallout, according to The Sun.
Gordon also gushed at how beautiful Holly looked and told Adam he was a “lucky man”, adding: “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.” And in a sly dig at Adam’s absent parents he told Holly, 25: “Shame you don’t have the same.”
In the run up to their nuptials it was reported that the Olympic swimmer had uninvited most of his side of the family following a family fallout. This included his ‘heartbroken’ mum Caroline and dad Mark.
This meant the only member from Adam’s family to share his big day was his sister Bethany, who had a starring role as one of Holly’s bridesmaids alongside her sisters Megan, 27, and 24-year-old Tilly.
Adam also made a speech at the wedding in which he insisted he would “always choose” his wife, Holly.
His emotional message bears an uncanny similarity to the phrase used by family friend Brooklyn Beckham after his fallout with his parents last year.

Brooklyn, 26, who is David and Victoria Beckham’s eldest son, was notably absent from the star-studded nuptials in December. It’s said the amateur chef was keen to avoid a run in with his parents who he has not seen for almost a year.
Suspicions had been raised all was not well in the Beckham camp after Brooklyn ignored his parents’ birthdays and Mother’s Day last year. After months of rumours, the self-confessed “nutter in the kitchen” vowed he will “always choose” his wife Nicola Peltz as he broke his silence on the fallout on Instagram.
