Ben Shephard, host of This Morning, has apologised after celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay used an expletive during a live cooking segment while in a playful dispute with his daughter Tilly.
The incident occurred as Gordon was discussing his daughter Holly’s wedding to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty and engaging in friendly banter with his eldest daughter Tilly, during which he accidentally knocked over a bottle of soy sauce.

“Oh s**t,” exclaimed Gordon, prompting a swift response from host Ben: “Just in case that spilled into the classic Ramsay work, apologies. We are live. I’m just pre-empting a strike.”
Gordon retorted: “I said shoot! Ben – come on, Ben!”.
The renowned chef, 59, was sharing details about Holly and Adam’s December wedding while assisting Tilly in preparing teriyaki salmon on the show, but their culinary collaboration soon turned into a light-hearted argument.

Describing the wedding, Gordon said, “It was beautiful,” adding, “It was and also, there’s no rehearsal – you’re doing it once hopefully.”, reports the Mirror.
He then questioned Tilly’s actions as they disagreed over her adjusting the hob’s temperature.
Later in the show, Tilly discussed her experience at Ballymaloe cookery school, stating: “I feel like I needed to break the mould, learn from the best in the world.”
To which Gordon responded: “You broke the mould? You broke my heart! I wouldn’t have charged you.
“I wouldn’t have spent all those fees at Ballymaloe, it was expensive,” he added, only for Tilly to quickly retort: “You didn’t pay for it.”
Earlier in the programme, Gordon discussed Holly and Adam’s wedding in more detail, sharing that his father-of-the-bride speech was “perfect”. Speaking to hosts Ben and Cat, he said: “Being a dad of three daughters, you dream of that moment.

“I was a hot mess but the speech was perfect, it went well. You’ve got to be warm and emotional but it was a tough gig.”
His daughter Tilly revealed that the speech “made everybody cry”, adding: “I was sat in his room for an hour as he was just reading through it. It was just like going through everything, but no tweaks were needed. It was perfect. It made everybody cry.”

“It was so emotional but so incredible to see her and Adam so happy. It was a big day for all of us. The Strictly Come Dancing star described the day as “perfect”.
Holly and Adam exchanged vows on 27 December, with the Ramsay family and friends in attendance. However, only one member of Adam’s family was present at the ceremony due to an ongoing feud.
This Morning continues on weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV X.
