It looks as though ITV viewers were left less than impressed on Tuesday night as they issued the same complaint over Millionaire Hot Seat.
The new game show is a fast-paced tactical twist on the classic format and is fronted by Clarkson’s Farm star, Jeremy Clarkson. As the programme began, the former Top Gear presenter informed people how the format would work.
Six contestants would be rotating in the “hot seat” and given a mere 15 seconds to answer a question, although this time, the questions became harder.
If they got the question correct, they’d continue in the seat and given the chance to climb the money ladder. However, if they answered incorrectly, they were immediately taken out of the game, and the top prize dropped.
Although in a twist, each person was given a ‘pass’ which could only be used once in the game. Use the pass, and they get to return to the hot seat at a later point in the game, but they were sent to the back of the rotating queue.
The passed questions must be answered correctly by the next player in order to stay in the game; answer incorrectly, and they are out.
It wasn’t long before people watching took to X to issue one complaint about the show, the amount of time the contestants took to deliberate their answer.
One person said: “These people all like the sound of their own voices…..or think they’re on regular WWTBAM” Another added: “Can’t they just answer the bl**dy question and stop talking sh**e all the b****rd time!”
Someone else wrote: “Do they realise how long 15 seconds is? Stop yapping” While another person shared: “Don’t have to give a definition, just answer the question.”

Although some viewers thoroughly enjoyed the format of the new show, as one person said, “It’s kinda like a quiz show version of speed dating.” While another shared: “#millionairehotseat quite like the format tbf.”
During the show, host Jeremy Clarkson didn’t waste time on highlighting how cruel the format could be as one contestant was instantly eliminated.
When one person decided to use their pass, the following person was in the hot seat and was unable to use their pass for the question.
She was asked out of the following, which was not an ingredient in a traditional Caesar salad: anchovies, croutons, garlic or feta cheese.

The woman confessed she had no idea and as she couldn’t pass, had to guess. Sadly, she got the answer wrong and Jeremy had to bid her farewell.
Introducing the next contestant, he said: “I’m really sorry, the correct answer is feta cheese. Im afraid we do now have to say goodbye to you.
“If we could bring up our next contestant, please? What a brutal game! It’s so brutal.”
Millionaire Hot Seat is available to watch on ITVX
