The ITV star took to social media this week to announce the news with her followers.
This week, ITV’s Lorraine Kelly revealed some exciting news to her Instagram. This comes ahead of some major changes being made to her show in the new year.
In a clip on her social media, the Scottish star is seen at a laptop writing the words’ the end’ on the screen.
She then comments: “Ta-dah! Oh, the two best words to ever type. Just to let you know, I’ve finished book two, it’s going to be called The Island Secret. It’s my second novel, and it’s out next year.”
As the video came to an end, a photo of a plain book cover appeared, informing her followers that the novel was being released on June 4 2026 and was available to pre-order now.
She captioned the post: “I’m so excited to share the news that I’ve finally just finished my second novel, The Island Secret, and it’ll be with you next year!”
It wasn’t long before people commented on the post, with many people congratulating the star. One person wrote: “I can’t wait!!! Loved the first one.”

One fan shared: “Wow, looking forward to getting your new book. I really enjoyed your first one. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you and all your family.”
While another added: “Looking forward to it, loved the first novel, Merry Christmas, Lorraine.”
Lorraine’s first novel, The Island Swimmer, was released back in 2024 and was inspired by the presenter’s love for the Orkney Islands and cold-water swimming.

From 2026, her ITV show is being dealt a major blow as it’s having its time cut down to half an hour as part of a huge shake-up at the broadcaster.
Along with this, it will only air for 30 weeks of the year, a reduction from its usual 52 weeks. This is the same for Loose Women, although their timings haven’t changed.
During the weeks Lorraine isn’t on, Good Morning Britain will run from 6am to 10am.
Amidst the shake-up, the ITV daytime show will be moving studios, resulting in multiple job cuts being made, including Lorraine editor Victoria Kennedy.
Paying tribute to her editor on social media, Lorraine confessed: “I still haven’t accepted that she’d had to leave along with so many of my brilliant team.
“To say I will miss them is the understatement of the century – BUT I count myself so lucky to have been with them on the craziest, happiest most emotional rollercoaster ride of all time.
Lorraine is available to watch on ITVX.
