A BBC Breakfast star shared a picture of himself looking very different on Christmas Day. Jon Kay, the 56-year-old TV presenter, shared a festive update with his followers on Instagram.

The host hilariously shared a snap of him seemingly after his Christmas dinner, with a very full belly. He lounged back on the iconic red sofa, with his eyes closed as he seemed to be enjoying a post-dinner nap. He wore a red and white Santa hat to complete his suit and tie ensemble but there was one thing looking massively different to usual. The normally fit presenter appeared to have a beach ball sized stomach, which stretched his shirt out as far as it would go. Jon captioned the post: “Current status.” He then explained: “AI (but not much) Hope you’ve had a lovely day x”. Fans thought that the snap was absolutely hilarious as they took to the comments.

“Looks like a diet is going to be needed,” one joked with a crying laughing emoji. They added: “Hope you and your family are having a wonderful Christmas.”

Another person shared: “I know the feeling!” While one more quipped: “When is the due date Jon?”

He isn’t the only BBC Breakfast star to undergo a transformation recently. At one point, his co-star Naga Munchetty was spotted with a brand new hair-do.

In one snap unearthed from her days on Strictly, Naga rocked tumbling curls longer than ever before as she slipped into a gold fringed backless gown with slits at the hips.

Strutting her stuff on the dance floor, Naga looked incredible, thanking hair stylist Luca Jones for the transformation.

Naga isn’t a fan of having longer locks, though, and admitted to cutting her own hair during the Covid-19 lockdown. She said: “I couldn’t take it any more, I actually cut all my hair.

“Many of my make-up and hairdressing friends have said, ‘What on earth are you doing?’ But I couldn’t take it. It’s neat, there are no chunks out of it, I think it’s okay. A bit messy, maybe.”

She told fans on Instagram: “I was only meant to trim the sides! Couldn’t bear the curly bits misbehaving anymore.”
