Claudia Winkleman has landed her very own talk show with the BBC, with the news coming days after her emotional Strictly Come Dancing exit alongside fellow presenter Tess Daly. The Claudia Winkleman Show has been officially commissioned by the BBC, and it is set to launch next Spring. The BBC said the seven-episode show is due to “welcome the biggest names from the worlds of film, television, music and beyond to her sofa for lively conversation with the help of a studio audience”. Guests and further broadcast information are set to be shared “in due course”.

The major announcement comes just before the new series of The Traitors, which airs on BBC One, returns to screens on New Year’s Day. The game show is hosted by Claudia, who has been at the helm of the popular programme since it first landed on the BBC in November 2022.
Regarding her own talk show, Claudia, 53, said in a statement: “I can’t quite believe it, and I’m incredibly grateful to the BBC for this amazing opportunity. I’m obviously going to be awful, that goes without saying, but I’m over the moon they’re letting me try.”
Express.co.uk has contacted the BBC and Claudia’s representatives for further comment.
Her chat show is produced by the makers of The Graham Norton Show, but it is set to air when Graham’s show isn’t on television, so there will be no clashes or hosts competing for star-studded guests.
The Graham Norton Show, produced by So Television, has been recently renewed for another three years by the BBC.
So Television’s managing director Graham Stuart told Variety: “Graham Norton has made the Friday night talk show slot a dazzling appointment to view. How can you possibly follow that? By booking a host equally as brilliant. So we have.”
Meanwhile, BBC entertainment commissioning editor Kalpna Patel-Knight told the publication: “She has an extraordinary ability to put people at ease and bring out the very best in them, whether they’re global superstars or members of the audience.”
