Dan Walker sparked backlash as he shared unseen pictures from Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay’s wedding.
Dan Walker has been criticised for his “insensitive” post amid the drama on Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay’s wedding day, due to a bitter family feud. The broadcaster attended the lavish ceremony on Saturday (27 December), held at the historic Bath Abbey, with an exclusive guest list that notably excluded all but one member of the Peaty family. However, while most celebrities adhered to the phone ban, former BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker faced backlash for sharing photos from the couple’s special day. The TV and radio personality posted two images of Adam and Holly’s order of service, one featuring the title page, and another displaying the hymn they had chosen.
Despite the seemingly harmless nature of the images, Dan unintentionally upset his followers, who labelled him as “insensitive”, in light of Adam’s decision to exclude his family. One fan remarked: “Shame he didn’t invite his Mother!” Another commented: “Sorry Dan, but did you really have to post this? For those of Adams family who weren’t there, for whatever reason, it might come across as insensitive.”

A third follower chimed in: “There is something very wrong with celebrities sharing their attendance- when the most important person (regardless of who was right/wrong) was not there. The young will learn- let’s hope they don’t leave it too late”, reports the Mirror.
Meanwhile, another simply asked: “Are some things not kept private?” A fifth disgruntled Instagram user added: “We live in a world where forgiveness is in very short supply. Celebrities will come and go, but you only ever get 1 mum.”
Someone else typed: “Unfortunately his mum not there, as a mother she must be so disappointed and hope all the mothers who went felt something for his mum.”
It wasn’t just Adam’s mum who was barred from the ceremony. Whilst his sister Bethany was selected to be one of Holly’s bridesmaids, his father Mark was reportedly affronted to learn he was invited, but only if he sat at the back, behind the plus ones.

After the choice was made to exclude them from the festivities, tension within the family reached breaking point – just moments before the ceremony. As he prepared to walk down the aisle, Adam received a blistering text message from his mum’s sister, his aunt Louise.
In it, she wrote: “I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through and despite it all she loves you still. Shame on you both. Shame.
“Remember on this, your happiest day, and on each anniversary of your happiest day, that you hurt your mum so deeply her soul screams,” MailOnline reports.
Adam’s heartbroken mother, Caroline, had intended to gatecrash the big day and watch from the crowd, but decided against it, saying it would be “too upsetting” for her”. Instead, she spent her son’s big day at the family home in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.
