In a brief Instagram video posted on Monday, January 5th, promoting their Coffee Moaning podcast, 61-year-old Nadia revealed: “Mark and I have been married for a bit more than 20 years now – never remember completely. That’s something he could divorce me for! And we’ve been close to divorce many times. And we’ve been to marriage guidance counsellors, we’ve worked our a**es, really, to stay together.” Admirers flocked to the comments to applaud the star’s candour about her 22-year marriage to Mark.

One supporter wrote: “Love how honest you both are. That’s what helps other to open up and I think also shows how you can go through tough times with a partner but weather the storm. I for one are glad you both survived! You are an incredible couple with huge hearts (sic).”

Other fans experiencing relationship difficulties expressed gratitude that Nadia and Mark’s frank discussion about divorce would provide them with support. One user commented: “I just cried. This is exactly what I need to hear right now and will listen in. My hubby and I have had a rocky start to 2026. (sic)”.

A second follower added: “I will be listening! Need some tips and help x (sic).” And a third person remarked: “Yes ups and downs I understand but now we are fine (sic).” During the Coffee Moaning podcast episode, Nadia disclosed that marriage counsellors assisted her and Mark in discovering methods to resolve their disputes.

The Celebrity Big Brother 2015 contestant explained: “Each time we went to a couple’s counsellor, we’ve felt our communication was completely out and completely gone. But there was still a willingness to try and make it work. And it did help, even the bad marriage counsellors did help.”

Further into the episode, Nadia discussed the most challenging periods in her and Mark’s marriage, revealing that without their eldest child’s birth, they wouldn’t have remained together.

Nadia – who shares daughters Maddie, 23, and Kiki, 18, with Mark – explained: “I think there is a point where a relationship is just dead. But I would say that I have felt that in this marriage at times, and Mark has, vice versa. We’ve just thought, ‘I can’t do this anymore, I literally can’t do this anymore.’”.

“And I’ve said this before, we’ve both said this before, if we hadn’t have had Maddie, we wouldn’t have stayed together. We would have both stormed off and walked away and gone and made the same mistake again.”
