The UNTOLD Story Behind Meghan And Kate’s INFAMOUS Argument That Allegedly TORE The Royal Family APART Piece By Piece

A Royal expert has claimed that a peace-making meeting between the Waleses and the Sussexes “tore the monarchy apart.”
In June 2018, the Prince and Princess of Wales sat down with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex amid growing tension following Harry and Meghan’s nuptials. This came after Harry detailed in his memoir, Spare, how his new bride seemed to clash with his sister-in-law during the early stages of their relationship.
Harry recounts a dispute over bridesmaid dresses leading up to his wedding that left Meghan in tears, and he mentions Kate’s apparent displeasure when Meghan borrowed her lip gloss. Both couples agreed to have a frank discussion shortly after the Sussexes returned from their honeymoon.
However, the atmosphere reportedly became so strained that Kate’s fingers turned white. Harry describes this moment in his memoir, recalling a visit he and Meghan made to William and Kate’s Kensington Palace apartment for tea.
He remembers how both couples aired their grievances, including Kate, who demanded an apology from Meghan while gripping a leather sofa so tightly her “fingers were white”, reports the Mirror.
As per Spare, Kate wanted Meghan to apologize for making a comment about her hormones and having “baby brain” during her pregnancy. The book goes on to describe how Meghan apologized and explained that she talks to her friends in the same manner.

The situation escalated when Harry alleges that William “pointed a finger at Meg” and reportedly charged: “Well, it’s rude, Meghan. These things are not done here.”
Harry claims that Meghan retorted: “If you don’t mind, keep your finger out of my face.”
The new Channel 5 documentary ‘Meghan vs Kate: The Meeting That Changed the Monarchy’ suggests this encounter marked a significant shift for Harry and Meghan, eventually leading to their dramatic departure from Royal duties.
Daily Mail’s Richard Kay remarked on the pivotal nature of this moment, suggesting “the seed of Megxit sewn” during that interaction, while colleague Sarah Hewson noted: “Had that meeting been a success, had they been able to put their differences aside, things would have been very different indeed.”
Newsweek’s Jack Royston reflected on the possibility of avoiding conflict, stating: “If only they’d listened. If Meghan had listened what was being said to her, she could have changed way back in 2018. And even if they had still quit the monarchy, they could have saved themselves so much pain and so much conflict.”
He further emphasized: “What happened in that room back in June 2018 was the defining element of the relationship between the two couples that ripped the monarchy to pieces.”
Noted Royal author Valentine Low criticized the squabbles, commenting: “They had pathetic little differences that should have been sorted out in two minutes. But it helped fuel the flames.”

Kate and Meghan are not said to be on speaking terms
Harry detailed in his memoir Spare following up on Meghan’s revelations about Kate during their Netflix docuseries. Meghan described their first encounter, noting her astonishment at the behind-the-scenes decorum of the royals.
In the second episode of their six-part documentary series Harry and Meghan, she recounted: “When Will and Kate came over, and I met her for the first time, they came over for dinner, I remember I was in ripped jeans and I was barefoot. I was a hugger. I’ve always been a hugger, I didn’t realise that that is really jarring for a lot of Brits.”
Meghan further elaborated: “I guess I started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside carried through on the inside. There is a forward-facing way of being, and then you close the door and go ‘You can relax now’, but that formality carries over on both sides. And that was surprising to me.”
