The Traitors 2026 finale aired tonight but fans were disappointed with the winners.

‘Fix’ row erupts after Traitors final (Image: BBC)
Fans of the Traitors were left feeling disgruntled as the winners of the fourth series were revealed. Traitor duo Stephen and Rachel came out on top as they deceived the Faithfuls in the game, bagging themselves a whopping £45,000 each.
The final was tense, with moments where fans weren’t sure whether or not the Traitors would turn on each other at the final hurdle – despite making a pact that they would never write each other’s names on their boards. But in a huge turn of events, it turns out that Stephen and Rachel were actually completely Faithful to each other as they worked together to win the whole game – making show history as the first Traitors to ever win together. Sadly, that meant that true Faithfuls Jade, Jack and Faraaz all lost out as they were banished one by one. Fans were left fuming over the result, branding it “a fix”.

Taking to X following the history-making result, one viewer raged: “What a fix. So predictable. Laughable. And what can you say about the host, what a boring individual #TheTraitors.”
A second added: “Still fuming, it actually makes me not want to watch again! What a fix!”
Meanwhile, a third penned: “It’s gotta be a fix that Rachel’s name is always in their mouth but they don’t get her out as a unit.”
A fourth simply said: “Fix #TheTraitors.”Despite the backlash, other people were thrilled with the results, with one noting: “They did it!! Most deserving winners so far, our iconic traitorous duo!! #TheTraitors.”
Another added: “I’m so happy Stephen and Rachel won, so glad Stephen kept his word, best winners in a while #TheTraitors.”
It follows a few “giveaway” moments from Rachel, where viewers at home thought it would have been obvious to the other players that she was a Traitor.

She even admitted it herself in the finale, while discussing theories. She accidentally said: “If I were a Faithful, I would murder me…” before quickly correcting herself.
Fellow Traitor Fiona also went in hard on her and Harriet tried to take her down at the roundtable – but they both failed as Rachel came out on top.
