Axed GB News presenter announces huge TV return (Image: GB News)

Isabel Webster penned a candid message on social media as she shared a huge career update. The former GB News presenter, 43, previously hosted the channel’s breakfast show with Eamonn Holmes, 65, since 2022 before suddenly being “axed” in December last year. She was replaced by Ellie Costello, 32, on the programme.

Since the presenter’s GB News exit, Isabel has gone on to host her own podcast, New Chapters, and continues to write her own column. In a huge announcement, the broadcaster revealed she is returning to mainstream television – but did not dish on which channel viewers will see her fronting in January.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Isabel accompanied the post with a photo of herself inside a Christmas message.

She began: “Merry Christmas. As the year draws to a close, I’m feeling incredibly grateful – and quietly excited for what’s ahead…”

Isabel revealed: “In 2026, I’ll be returning to the presenting chair… do keep an eye out for me on your tv screens this January (clue: you’ll find me on terrestrial) [wide eye emoji].

“Alongside that, I’ll be beginning production on Season Two of my podcast, continuing with my column, and stepping into a number of other genuinely exciting projects that I can’t wait to share with you…”

She concluded: “Thank you for the support this year – here’s to new chapters, new conversations, and a brilliant year ahead…

But for now, I am wishing you a peaceful, restful and happy Christmas.”

Her 25,000 followers flocked to the comment section, as one commented: “Lovely to see you back on the [TV emoji]. Keep up the good work. Merry Christmas to you and your family.”

A second remarked: “Yyyeeesss, Isabel back on the box & on terrestrial…Now that’s a proper start to a New Year & my month January…can not wait.” (sic)

While a third quizzed: “Good Morning Britain?”

Isabel did not give any further details on the show she will be presenting so viewers will have to keep their eyes peeled in 2026.

She previously worked with Eamonn when they co-hosted Sky News’ Sunrise together before he left the channel in 2016.
