Strictly Come Dancing’s Vicky Pattison was visibly moved as she received a surprise message from her father John during an appearance on the spin off show It Takes Two. The 2015 I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here winner was appearing on the BBC Two teatime programme with pro partner Kai Widdrington when host Janette Manrara surprised her with a special clip.

“Well, we have a surprise message from someone who is very proud of you. It’s your dad, John,” Janette exclaimed. Vicky joked: “Oh, I thought it was gonna be Cheryl again,” referring to a message she received from the Girls Aloud singer on the live show on Saturday, September 25, which was icons week. However, she soon suppressed her giddiness and was visibly tearful as her father expressed his pride in her. John seemed to be suppressing tears himself in the moving clip.

“Just want me to give you a quick call to remind you how proud we all are of you lovely up here in the North, how much will love you, and also just to see you. Absolutely fantastic on Saturday. Love you,” he said.

Composing herself as the camera cut back to her, Vickly joked about how close he had the camera to his face.

“You can tell my dad’s in his 60’s he does that like The Blair Witch Project,” she laughed, referring to the famous horror film, which features lots of extreme close-up shots to the camera.

Vicky and Kai were still on a high, having received their highest score to date, an impressive 33, for their dance to Cheryl’s Fight For This Love during Icons week.

Reflecting on now being in the “30s club,” Vicky said: “Obviously, we know so much of my Strictly journey has been (hampered) by my nerves and my anxiety and things like that.

“But I feel like I’m really turning a corner. Kai is so patient with me in the training room. The judge’s feedback has been positive. And even when it hasn’t been, it’s been constructive criticism.

“I’ve had real things to work on. I actually just think going forward me I need to be a positive pigeon.

“I need to get me head down. I need to put everything else like out of me head and just enjoy it, because I’ll kick myself if I don’t.”

Amanda Owen has made a pointed remark about former husband Clive Owen three years following their separation announcement.

The Yorkshire Shepherdess joined ITV daytime programme Loose Women on Wednesday (October 29) to discuss her latest book Christmas Tales from the Farm with panellists Jane Moore, GK Barry, Judi Love and Mariella Frostup.

The discussion swiftly shifted towards her domestic arrangements when host Jane raised the topic of her nine youngsters.

Mariella observed: “It’s nearly a football team” before Jane enquired: “What’s the age range?”.

Amanda responded: “Don’t put me on the spot like that” and following a momentary hesitation she added: “Youngest one is eight, the oldest one is 23”, reports the Mirror.

Judi questioned: “Did you plan to have nine?” Amanda said: “Plan? Oh god no. There was never any family planning. It was not the plan at all. It was just find the right place.”

Amanda and former spouse Clive confirmed their separation in 2022 following 22 years of marriage and the former couple continue to share the same property whilst occupying separate areas.

Addressing their current arrangement, she stated: “We are friends but we’re not skipping around hand in hand or anything because if we were we wouldn’t be separated.

“It’s created that space between us that I think is a far healthier dynamic. Its kind of taken the pressure of a little bit.”

Jane went on to mention that Amanda is embarking on a tour next month to discuss her career with fans, and the Our Yorkshire Farm star was swift to confirm that Clive wouldn’t be accompanying her, stating: “I’m not going with him.”

Amanda and Clive have managed to set personal matters to one side and press ahead with a tremendous workload that would leave most people exhausted.
