Adam Peaty’s damning ‘message to parents’ in wedding speech
Adam Peaty has shocked fans by revealing his wedding speech to wife Holly Ramsay

Adam Peaty declared he would choose Holly Ramsay in his wedding speech.
The olympian shared a clip from his speech to his public Instagram a week after the special day
The nuptials made headlines due to Adam’s fallout with his family before the ceremony, which led to mum Caroline and his dad Mark having their invitations revoked. Only Adam’s sister attended from his side, and was given a special role in the service as wife Holly’s bridesmaid.
Bethany was seen dressed in a crimson Victoria Beckham gown as she supported the happy couple on their big day.
After sharing photos of the celebrations – including Holly’s three dress reveal in Vogue magazine – Adam has shared his groom’s speech with fans online.
His emotional message to his wife, bears an uncanny similarity to the phrase used by family friend Brooklyn Beckham after his fallout with his parents last year.

Brooklyn, 26, who is David and Victoria Beckham’s eldest son, was a notable absence from family friend Holly’s wedding. It’s said the amateur chef was keen to avoid a run in with his parents who he has not seen for almost a year.
Suspicions had been raised all was not well in the Beckham camp after Brooklyn ignored his parents’ birthdays and Mother’s Day last year. After months of rumours, tearaway Brooklyn vowed he will “always choose” his wife Nicola Peltz as he broke his silence on the fallout on Instagram.
Back in May, Brooklyn posted a video of himself riding a red motorcycle through Los Angeles with wife Nicola sat behind with her arms draped around his neck as they travelled along the palm-tree lined road.
“My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby,” captioned Brooklyn.

In a show of solidarity, Nicola posted Brooklyn’s ‘I choose you’ video to her own page. The heiress wrote alongside it: “I’ve always got you baby,” followed by a burning love heart emoji. Fans immediately reacted angrily to the stunt, with many telling the pair to ‘grow up’ and calling for Brooklyn to contact his mother before it’s too late.
However, the frost between Brooklyn and his parents only appears to have grown since. He declined to invite any of his family to his vow renewal to Nicola in August.
While the Beckham clan were no-shows, the ceremony featured plenty of personal touches from Nicola’s family. The actress wore her mum’s wedding dress, asked her dad to officiate the wedding and the event was held at the family’s estate in Westchester County, New York.

Sources said the Beckhams were not even told the wedding was happening.
Following David and Victoria’s appearance at the Peaty-Ramsay wedding, along with children Cruz, Romeo and Harper, some fans pointed out the service would have been particularly awkward for the family given their own circumstances.
Commenting on photos shared of the wedding, one fan penned: “I expect the Beckhams are sickened by the behaviour of their ‘besties’ given that Brooklyn is doing exactly this to them.”
The Beckhams ended the new year with a plea to Brooklyn to get in touch with them. David shared a photo of himself cuddling Brooklyn as he wrote ‘I love you all so much’ in a heartbreaking message.

David and eldest son Brooklyn were once extremely close
While Victoria has not spoken publicly on her son’s estrangement, Adam’s mum took to Instagram to share an emotional message before the clock struck midnight.
In a post seen by the Daily Mail, she wrote: “I won’t end this year pretending everything was fine. I lost a piece of myself this year that I will never get back and I’m not forcing a smile like it didn’t change me. So no… I won’t be saying “2026 is going to be my year.” I’ll be praying that I recover next year, that my heart never has to break like this again, that I never have to survive something like this again.”
She continued: “I’ll be praying for peace… real peace, the kind that lets me breathe without fighting for it. I deserve a year that doesn’t hurt.”
The sportsman’s mother reportedly went on to repost a message that said: “Just a little reminder that you don’t have to make resolutions or huge decisions or big proclamations.
“You can just set some sweet intentions and take each day as it comes.”
