A star from This Morning has shared an emotional goodbye video as she departs her ‘dream job in telly’ after 16 years just days before Christmas

Stylist Amber Jackson has been a big presence behind the scenes of the popular daytime TV show, but her role was one of over 220 slashed by ITV as part of its brutal cost-cutting measures.

Sharing a video of herself waving goodbye to the various sets, Amber simply wrote: ‘POV: You’re leaving your dream job in telly after 16 years.’

e captioned the video: ‘The fashion cupboard is empty, but my heart is full. Farewell, This Morning, thank you for the memories.’

The broadcaster announced dramatic shake-ups to its programmes earlier this year amid plummeting viewer numbers and a general move towards streaming services.

These included slashing Lorraine to just a 30 minute show and removing the Loose Women audience.

Despite keeping the Loose Women audience entertained since 2017, Lee is out of work just before Christmas and marked his departure from the show with an on-screen appearance for its latest competition.

However as a parting gift, he appeared live from Warwick Castle’s ice rink on Monday to encourage viewers to enter the festive giveaway to be in with a chance of winning a whopping £200,000 – a departure from his usual behind-the-scenes role.

The comedian has been gearing up to leave his long-running role for some time after the axing of the Loose Women live audience was announced earlier this year.

Lee described his departure from the popular daytime talk show as the ‘bittersweet end of an era’ on Facebook.

He admitted: ‘Two weeks today will be my final Loose Women!

‘A bittersweet end of an era… the goodbyes are starting as it’s the last time I’ll work with Ruth, Gloria and Kellie in this capacity!’
