The Airline faced various issues in 2025, ranging from operational disruptions to safety incidents and legal challenges.

Now, they are dealing with a pilot who will likely never fly another plane in his life.

A pilot on a Delta Air Lines flight from Minneapolis to San Francisco was arrested by federal agents after landing.

Officers reportedly stormed to the front of flight 2809 following its arrival at San Francisco International Airport on July 26.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the plane landed at approximately 9:35 p.m. following a delay due to heavy fog.


According to eyewitnesses, approximately 10 law enforcement officers, including agents from Homeland Security Investigations, boarded the plane immediately after landing.

Officers rushed to the cockpit and arrested one of the Delta pilots without warning.

The unknown pilot was allegedly arrested on charges of Child Sexual Abuse Material, per Fox.

A Delta Air Lines flight from Minneapolis-Saint Paul to San Francisco made headlines after the arrest of a pilot.

As the plane arrived at the gate, law enforcement, including HSI agents, boarded the plane. Police rushed the cockpit area and two officers arrested one of the pilots without warning, according to witnesses.

The second pilot on the plane was not aware of the arrest.

The airlines did not immediately issue an official statement and referred all questions to the authorities.

There has been much speculation about the nature of the arrest, but aside from the charges, the pilot’s identity remains unknown.
