Anthony Joshua has committed to providing lifelong support to the families of his two close friends who died in a car accident in Nigeria last week.
The 36-year-old heavyweight boxer broke his public silence yesterday, sharing photographs with the bereaved relatives on Instagram.
His post carried the caption “My Brothers Keeper”, accompanied by two heart emojis and a military helmet symbol representing protection.
The phrase references a biblical passage from Genesis 4:9, conveying a moral obligation to look after others.
A source within Joshua’s camp told The Sun: “AJ is fiercely loyal to his friends and their families and will be there for them for the rest of their lives.”
The images shared by Joshua offer a moving glimpse into his bond with the grieving families.
One photograph shows the boxer seated alongside Sanaz, the sister of Sina Ghami, who clutches a picture of her late brother.
The mothers of both victims appear in the same image, joined by Joshua’s own mother, Yeta Odusanya.
A second picture captures Joshua, who sustained injuries in the collision, sitting on the floor beside Alex Ayodele, father of Latif.
The source added: “He’s had the same team around him for his whole career and that team included Sina and Latz.”

Ghami served as Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, while Ayodele worked as his personal trainer, making both men integral members of his boxing camp.
The pair had travelled to Nigeria with Joshua to visit his family when tragedy struck last Monday morning.
Their Lexus SUV collided with a stationary lorry on a notoriously hazardous road near Lagos.
Both Ghami and Ayodele were killed instantly at the scene.
Joshua, who was heard crying out in agony, had to be extracted from the wreckage by rescuers.

Anthony Joshua had only recently returned to the ring after beating Jake Paul earlier this month | GETTYThe boxer was rushed to hospital but escaped with only minor injuries.
The vehicle’s driver also survived the collision.
Joshua attended an emotional funeral service at London Central Mosque yesterday, joining other mourners to pay his respects.
His Instagram post marked the first time he had addressed the public since the fatal crash one week ago, and the images suggest he is recovering well from his injuries.
The remains of Ghami and Ayodele were flown back to Britain last Friday, transported via Istanbul aboard a Turkish Airlines cargo flight.
The repatriation allowed the families to begin funeral arrangements in London, bringing the two men home following the devastating accident that claimed their lives on a dangerous Nigerian road.
