Viewers of the latest edition of Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday, February 28 had a huge complaint just minutes into the show as freestyle rap act Macshane and Delby took to the stage during the second week of auditions for the long running talent competition. The duo performed after the opening act, rock band SOS, who had been awarded four yeses from the judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Simon Cowell and KSI. As they arrived on stage to introduce themselves, it became obvious they weren’t locals as they both spoke with a broad Australian accent. They confirmed this, revealing they were in fact from Perth and had travelled for 30 hours to make the show.

These watching at home were not impressed and took to X to vent about the lack of British talent on the show.One fumed: “Australia Got Talent again tonight.” Another added: “Scouted Australian act again.” A third chimed in: “This is Britain’s Got Talent and this rap act is from Australia!”

A fourth shared unamusedly: “Aussie got talent.” A fifth concurred: “Australia’s got talent.”

Meanwhile, a sixth raged: “BGT Australia again? THIS IS BGT FFS, however, this was right up KSI’s Street for sure.”

Speaking to the judges before they performed, Delby said they had flown 30 hours, “for the best three minutes of our lives.”

When Simon Cowell said they must be confident, they laughed: “We must be quite insane, because we don’t know what we’re doing.”

Explaining their act they said: “We freestyle rap so what we do is we make everything up on the spot, but we use…the audience.

“We rhyme about what we can see,” they said asking the audience and judges to hold up intersting items they had in their pockets.

Joking they had “never been more under prepared” they gave an energetic performance which received a standing ovation.

They also managed to get four yeses from the judges who had been impressed by their act.
