Kansas City takes on the Philadelphia Eagles in a repeat of Super Bowl LIX.

The Chiefs are looking to exact revenge for their 40-22 loss in New Orleans, Louisiana.

And Reid’s side is still hurting from a Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Kansas City listed 10 players on the injury report Wednesday.

Two of them didn’t practice at all – wide receivers Worthy and Jalen Royals.

Head coach Reid said it would be “a stretch” for Royals to play in Week 2 due to his knee injury.

The news leaves Kansas City even further depleted at wide receiver.

They are already without the suspended Rashee Rice for six games.

And Worthy suffered a shoulder injury during the Week 1 loss against the Chargers.

In a positive development, Reid confirmed that Worthy wasn’t looking at having surgery.

Why Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson is the new Brady vs Manning
Tight end Travis Kelce scored a touchdown in the 27-21 loss.

His place as a starter came under increased threat in 2025.

But Reid kept the franchise legend on the field for the majority of the Week 1 game.

Kelce accidentally injured Worthy by running into him at the line of scrimmage.

The 35-year-old took responsibility for the injury.

Speaking on New Heights, Kelce said, “I ran into one of my guys and offed him out of the game; I literally took one of my players ouT.

“That’s one of the most frustrating parts, and it’s hard to get your juices back going knowing you just hurt a guy.

“I’m supposed to be running my route at depth for Worthy, so it’s frustrating for me.

“I was trying to kind of set up my guy to be able to get in a position, and it all just happened pretty quick. And I just got to be better, man. I’m 13 years in the league.

“There’s no excuse for me running into my own guys like that.

“Worthy has his guy beat and we’re out the gate, and that game starts completely different.”
