Jake Paul Spent Staggering Sum On Jutta Leerdam Engagement Before Olympics

Jake Paul and his Olympic fiancee skater Jutta Leerdam got engaged in March 2025 after nearly two years of dating.

Jake Paul reportedly splashed out an astronomical amount for his engagement to his Olympic gold medallist fiancee Jutta Leerdam.

On Monday, Leerdam, a discretionary pick for the Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, achieved her dream by winning gold in the speed skating.

Representing the Netherlands, the 27-year-old claimed silver at the 2022 showpiece in Beijing but went one better in the 1000m event.

With YouTuber-boxer Paul in attendance, Leerdam won gold with a record-breaking time of 1:12.31 and was full of emotion when she crossed the finish line.

Videos emerged of Paul bursting into tears in the stands alongside his family as he celebrated his other half’s outstanding achievement.

On his official X account, Paul congratulated Leerdam and posted: “Juttttttttttaaaaaaaa. I can’t stop crying. You did it my love. Olympic Gold. God is great and so are you.”

Paul has regularly supported Leerdam at various events, including the qualifying where she fell and failed early on.

They have been in a relationship since April 2023 and in March 2025, Paul proposed to his partner – posting a picture of him on one knee, popping the question with the ring in his hand.

In footage of the special moment as they wiped away tears of joy, he captioned the post, “The most magical day of our lives, 03-21-25.”

Leerdam showed off the diamond ring, which is said to be worth around $1 million as per talkSPORT.

Jewellery experts claimed that the ring is made up of ten-carat natural diamonds and therefore has an incredible value of seven-figures.

How did Jake Paul and Jutta Leerdam begin dating?

Paul made the first move on Leerdam, cheekily sliding into her DMs to ask if he she would appear on his podcast.

“Jake sent me a DM on Instagram and asked if I wanted to be on his podcast,” Leerdman revealed, during an interview for the ‘Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson’ documentary.

“And I was like, ‘Okay, let’s do it. Can be good, can be nice.’”

Things blossomed a bit further than a podcast appearance and soon an unexpected romance developed.

“I never, ever expected to date him, like never,” she admitted.

“Of course, I didn’t know a lot about him. I could only scroll on his Instagram and form an opinion like the whole world does. But he is the complete opposite.”
