Jimmy Carr has torched the Prime Minister, branding Keir Starmer a “c**t” in a shocking stand-up routine, after the comic unleashed an expletive-laden rant in front of a live audience. The brutal comments came during Carr’s audience questions segment, a regular fixture of his live shows, where the comedian invites the crowd to throw anything at him. This time, the topic turned political.

Carr was asked: “What do you think of our Prime Minister?” to which he cheekily shot back: “Your Prime Minister? Have you got a Prime Minister? Have you?” as laughter broke out around the room. He continued: “No, just this is the first I’m hearing of it. So someone’s in charge?

“If someone’s in charge, how do you explain the f*****g chaos out there? It’s f*****g….he’s a c**t”. Clips of the moment have since been widely shared on X, and fans had a lot to say in response.

One user wrote: “I don’t need comedians or TV celebs to break down the state of the nation and that our PM is a complete and utter t**t, I know all this. Just like I didn’t need them to tell me that I must get vaxxed and stay indoors. He is funny though.”

Another commented: “He is brilliant, and unfortunately- completely right,” as a third added: “Go Jimmy! And go all the proud people of the UK; for the love of God get rid of Starmer and take your country back”.

Carr is currently on the road with his brand-new live show Laughs Funny, featuring all-new material alongside some of his most notorious crowd work. The tour spans multiple continents throughout 2026, with major legs across New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the US, and Europe.

A central feature of the show is the Quick Fire Audience Questions segment, which shifts the performance away from scripted one-liners and into spontaneous crowd interaction. It is far from the first time Carr’s unscripted moments have landed him in hot water.

Footage has also emerged of the comedian launching into a fierce defence of fellow comic Graham Linehan following his arrest over a gender-critical social media post at Heathrow Airport.

During that segment, an audience member wrote in: “Welcome to Minnesota, Jimmy. Do you have any good jokes that would get you arrested at Heathrow?” This sparked another attendee to shout out: “Where’s Graham Linehan?” before the comic jumped to his defence.

He replied: “Graham Linehan! I f***ing love Graham. Whether you agree with Graham or JK Rowling or not, you have to admit that the thing that’s in short supply in our society is bravery. And he’s a f*****g brave guy.

“It’s easy now to say men are men, women are women, and there’s a very tiny percentage of people that want to live different lives – let them do their own thing. But at the time, when he started saying it, it was f*****g incredible that he was saying it – and he gave up everything.

“He lost his family, he lost his career, he lost everything. And then he was getting f*****g arrested at the airport. F*****g madness. You’ve got the First Amendment,” he told his American crowd. “F*****g cherish it.”
