ESPN has made a decision on the futures of Ryan Clark and Peter Schrager following their on-screen feud last week.

Clark, a former NFL safety who has been lending his analysis to The Worldwide Leader in Sports, is under fire again after an awkward segment on ‘Get Up!’ where he suggested that Schrager’s lack of professional football expertise left him at a disadvantage.
Schrager was defending Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb’s performance in Thursday night’s loss to the Eagles following multiple drops.
“We shouldn’t do this on TV, so I apologize if people think this is rude, but that’s the non-player in you,” Clark said.
“Don’t belittle me like that, I can come and say as three ex-players are saying one thing, and give an alternate perspective,” Schrager shot back.

Clark, who was heavily criticized by Dave Portnoy, has since taken to social media with an apology, but, according to Front Office Sports, he could be on “thin ice” with ESPN as the bosses do not like ESPN-on-ESPN crime and Schrager was personally recruited by the company’s president of content, Burke Magnus.

The outlet also cited the fact that Ryan Clark has had several run-ins for which he has had to apologize, while they’re also against the notion that someone has to be an ex-professional to offer expert analysis on sports.
Despite the above, the company will not make any changes where Clark and Schrager are concerned.
“Ryan Clark & Peter Schrager will both be on ESPN’s NFL Live this afternoon from Chicago. There will be a segment or two together,” The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand reported on Monday.
The show is set to air this Monday afternoon on ESPN as a preview to the ‘MNF’ outing fixture featuring the Bears and Vikings.
Clark noted in his apology that he had also spoken to Schrager behind the scenes, so hopefully, this is all behind them.
