Saturday Night Live has come after the First Lady in a savage skit mocking her new documentary and insinuating she does not understand English.
Colin Jost and Michael Che did not hold back as they flamed Melania Trump and her recently debuted film, Melania, during Saturday night’s Weekend Update segment.
While the Melania movie detailed the 20 days leading up to President Donald Trump‘s inauguration for his second term in the White House, the SNL stars had a far different take on the piece.
‘This week a documentary about Melania Trump debuted in theaters. It’s titled Wicked: For real,’ Jost quipped as the crowd roared with laughter at the first lady’s expense.
The film’s poster was shown alongside him, but it was tinted green and featured the made-up title to mimic the Wicked: For Good musical that came out in November.
But the apparent message was loud and clear among the spirited audience – Melania was being slammed as the wicked witch.
A chuckling Che then chimed in, noting that the nearly two-hour movie was directed by the controversial Brett Ratner.
‘Melania was directed by Rush Hour director, Brett Ratner – which explains this scene,’ Che said as he introduced the spoof scene.

President Donald Trump and Melania Trump are seen attending the world premiere of Melania
The brief edited clip depicted Melania in one of the most notable moments from the 1998 comedy Rush Hour.
‘Do you speak any English?’ LAPD Detective James Carter, who was played by Chris Tucker, frantically yelled in Melania’s face as she simply smiled back – implying that Melania, an immigrant from Slovenia, does not.
‘Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?’
The camera cut back once again to a gleeful Jost giggling along with viewers.
The Melania bit of the Weekend Update garnered mixed reviews online. Liberals apparently adored the skit while Trump supporters were less than pleased.
‘That Chris Tucker tells Melania “does she understand English” was funny,’ one person reacted on X.
‘Weekend update never disappoints,’ someone agreed.
But one fed-up man described SNL as sticking to ‘just lame left-wing political commentary these days.’
One person wrote: ‘The left cannot do anything without making Trump the center of it. From their protest to their snl skits Trump is living rent free in their world.’
While another said: ‘I hate watching this c**p. It’s not funny and extremely transparent. SNL is out of touch.
‘We LOVE President Trump as does the rest of the world.’
Another woman simply found Weekend Update unfunny and even went as far as to say that they were being too gentle on the Trump administration.

‘Weekend Update: Your too damn tame about Trump. What happened? This week you had a massive amount of material on him and you did nothing,’ she asserted.
‘Are you afraid If this were Obama, Biden, or Clinton you’d be on them like a duck on a bug.’
Is this satire or just a cheap political hit?
‘Sorry, but SNL Weekend Update is just NOT funny,’ someone echoed.
Melania was not the only target of the four-minute skit. Che and Jost also took shots at Trump himself – comparing him to Hitler – and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
The jaw-dropping comment from Che related to the FBI raid on an Atlanta election office on Wednesday.
‘The FBI searched a county election hub in Georgia looking for ballots to back up President Trump’s false claim that the 2020 election was rigged,’ Che said.
‘Jesus man, let it go,’ he continued. ‘I mean, even Hitler stopped trying to get into art school at some point.’
Che also read off the joke about Noem, which referenced her admission that she shot her dog.

Melania was made to appear clueless to what Tucker was saying in the doctored video
‘Homeland Security’s initial review of the Alex Pretti shooting does not say that he attacked officers, which contradicts Kristi Noem’s claims,’ Che said.
Noem previously said that the ICU nurse who was fatally shot in a confrontation with border patrol agents in Minneapolis was threatening the officers and ‘brandishing’ a weapon.
‘But none of that really matters to Kristi Noem. She’ll open fire even if you’re a good boy,’ he said as a picture of a puppy appeared next to him.
The 1,00th episode’s opening sketch took aim at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and senior Trump officials.
Pete Davidson portrayed White House Border Czar Tom Homan in a sketch set in Minneapolis, where real-world protests and investigations continue following recent ICE operations.
In the sketch, Davidson’s Homan arrives to meet ICE unit commanders ‘in response to the chaotic situation in Minnesota,’ only to discover a group of agents portrayed as clueless, aggressive and dangerously ill-informed about their own mission.
The skit immediately sparked criticism from viewers unhappy at SNL’s increasingly overt political tone, with one viewer saying they ‘thought this was a comedy show.’
The sketch escalated as Davidson’s Homan tried to walk his fictional agents through basic rules of law enforcement.

Border czar Tom Homan is seen during a news conference about ongoing immigration enforcement operations on Thursday in Minneapolis
‘Forget everything you were told before. We’re not here to intimidate, racially profile or violate anyone’s rights. So again, what are we looking for?’ he asked.
‘Epstein files,’ an agent replied.
‘Nope, we actually just released those to distract from this, you know, which is ironic because we did this to distract from those,’ Davidson said.
The line referenced the real-world Justice Department release on Friday of three million documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.
The sketch continued with Davidson’s Homan saying: ‘Let’s talk about use of force.
‘What do we want to use force right away?… It’s kind of a trick question, because we actually don’t want to use force. Remember, the job ultimately is about keeping America safe. From what?’
‘This could be wrong, but Don Lemon?’ a recruit answered.
The joke alluded to Don Lemon’s arrest on Thursday after his reporting on immigration enforcement operations.
Lemon later said his ‘constitutionally protected work in Minneapolis was no different than what he has always done.’

Later in the sketch, James Austin Johnson’s agent said: ‘You hired a bunch of angry, aggressive guys, gave us guns and didn’t train us, so this is maybe what you wanted to happen?’
The sketch ended with Davidson attempting a motivational appeal.
‘Can we do our jobs without violating anyone’s rights as Americans?’ he asked.
Kenan Thompson’s agent replies simply: ‘No.’
‘Well, I had to ask,’ Davidson says. ‘Maybe just try not to get filmed?’
Online reaction to the sketch was swift and deeply divided.
‘Thought this was a comedy show….. Not funny,’ one viewer wrote on X.
‘This is not funny,’ agreed another.
A third criticized Davidson’s portrayal specifically, writing: ‘Pete Davidson is the worst SNL Tom Homan you could possibly imagine.’
