Claudia Winkleman’s stylish city abode provides the perfect sanctuary for the presenter when she’s not lighting up the dance floor on Strictly Come Dancing.

The star, who confirmed this week she’ll be leaving Strictly alongside Tess Daly, resides in a Grade II-listed townhouse with her husband Kris Thykier and their children, Jake, Matilda and Arthur, in central London. The family reportedly counts former Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife Cherie as neighbours.

While Claudia, 53, tends to keep her family life private, she occasionally offers fans a glimpse into their luxurious home life on Instagram. Photos of the posh pad, located in one of London’s most affluent areas near Marble Arch, reveal that the mum-of-three has a chic Scandi-inspired taste in interiors, featuring a palette of neutral colours throughout the walls and furnishings.

Claudia’s living room features an impressive bookcase filled to the brim with books, stretching from the carpet right up to the ceiling. The walls are painted in a soothing sage green, perfectly complementing her Scandi-style decor, known for its simplicity, minimalism, and functionality.

Claudia imposed a surprising ban in her home

In one video, Claudia is seen surrounded by face masks she designed in 2020 for Great Ormond Street Hospital. She sits against cream wood-panelled walls, lending the room a serene and cool vibe.

In a different snap she posted back in 2017, the Strictly co-host and celebrated make-up guru Sali Hughes is pictured sitting in the bathtub while recording an interview. Her bathroom features walls and flooring crafted from pristine white marble, complete with a standalone bathtub boasting elegant silver fixtures.

The Traitors presenter’s kitchen follows a similar aesthetic, showcasing enormous backlit marble slabs adorning the walls alongside subtle grey hues. In addition, there is a cutting-edge fridge from which she can select organic produce when preparing a bite after a long day filming.

In a closer glimpse, a fashionable jute carpet extends up the whitewashed staircase, leading to a spacious balcony enveloped in foliage, providing seclusion for the celebrity household.

Discussing her home, Claudia previously told the Evening Standard: “I can leave my house at 4am and buy a kebab, rent a movie and get some shampoo. I love my shower, my bread bin and our tortoise, Yoshi.”

While the property might seem to contain everything the presenter requires, one item you likely won’t discover in the stylish townhouse is mirrors. Claudia’s mum, former newspaper editor Eve Pollard, instilled in her daughter that concentrating on one’s looks was a “waste of time” and prohibited mirrors throughout the home.

“Rather than gazing in the mirror, I encouraged her to look inwards to the qualities that matter in the long term – intelligence, wit and character,” she said. “In that regard, I tried to set her the best example I could.”

Discussing her unique appearance, which has drawn comparisons to rock legend Alice Cooper, Claudia revealed: “I was brought up by the strongest and most brilliant woman I’ve ever come across – my mum.

“She was strong and fantastic and taught me everything I needed to know in being female. We weren’t allowed any mirrors in the house, which would explain how I do my makeup… and the fact I look like I’ve slept in a skip.”
