Meghan Markle was skewered in a brutal segment on TalkTV, and as broadcaster Phil Dave and presenter Andre Walker discussed her estrangement from her dad, Thomas Markle. Thomas was forced to have part of his leg amputated after a “life or death” surgery, with the former director of photography being left to crowd fund to pay for the costs of the operation.

His daughter, Meghan, who hasn’t spoken to her father since 2018, is said to have sent him a letter via her team while he was in hospital.Meghan released a pointed statement about the letter after several attempts to deliver it, as a spokesperson for the duchess said it “has been exceedingly difficult for the Duchess to contact her father privately, despite her efforts over the past several days”.

Discussing the feud between the pair in a segment labelled “Meghan the Grinch,” Dave said: “If anyone bangs on and says ‘Oh, Meghan Markle is just misunderstood, she’s not really that bad, she’s a good person at heart’, no, sorry!

“Look at how unwell her father is, and now he’s having to do a GoFundMe, and she won’t give him a cent.” He added: “It’s disgusting.”

Dave continued: “Some people might say we don’t know what went on between the two of them. You get one father in this life, do you know what I mean?

“You get one father and one mother, biologically anyway. I just can’t buy it or understand it.”

Walker replied: “I don’t want to talk about somebody or give away any confidential information, but I know somebody who knew Meghan Markle, and she said it’s really interesting that she’s one of those people, and you think, is she a good person or a bad person, but every single person she was close to, she’s alienated.”

Thomas has never met Prince Harry or their children Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
