Football fans noticed a drastic change in Tony Romo’s appearance during the Kansas City Chiefs-Baltimore Ravens game on Sunday.

‘Proud’ Benzema calls time on international career with France

The 44-year-old Tony Romo is in his ninth season with CBS Sports as an analyst on the network’s top team, alongside legendary play-by-play voice Jim Nantz and sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson.

Romo and Nantz were assigned the highly anticipated Chiefs-Ravens game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday afternoon, their first time covering each of the two AFC heavyweights this season.

The matchup didn’t exactly live up to the hype, as the Chiefs cruised to a 37-20 blowout win in a game that saw Lamar Jackson suffer a hamstring injury in the third quarter. The two-time MVP will be out for Week 5 against the Houston Texans and is now expected to miss 2-3 weeks of action.

As far as work is concerned, Sunday was just another day at the office for Tony Romo. But fans noticed a drastic change in appearance on Sunday, with some speculating that the former Dallas Cowboys star recently received Botox treatment.

“What is happening to Tony Romo??” asked Dov Kleiman.

“Tony Romo with the Tim Allen tan/botox Christmas with the Kranks scene look going on,” wrote another.

“WTF happened to Tony Romo 😂 Dudes got more makeup and Botox than all of Hollywood,” a fan said.

“Tony Romo on the broadcast today, lol,” another said with a photo of Michael Richards’ iconic Kramer character from Seinfeld.

It must have been the lightning or something, because Romo looked like his normal self while speaking on “The NFL Today” outside:

Tony Romo Signed Lucrative Extension With CBS In 2020

Thrilled with Romo’s early performances in the broadcast booth, CBS signed Romo to a lucrative 10-year extension in 2020 worth around $17 million annually, as Front Office Sports reported at the time.

Like fellow NFL analysts Tom Brady, Troy Aikman and Cris Collinsworth, Romo is tremendously polarizing among football fans. While some fans appreciate Romo’s sharp analysis and energy, others have criticized him for some of his rather cringeworthy deliveries, including some dirty-sounding comments in the Chiefs-Ravens game.

All that matters is what the higher-ups at CBS Sports believe. And with Romo in the midst of a mega 10-year deal, he’s obviously not going anywhere any time soon.
