Lorraine Kelly found herself in hot water with viewers after a light-hearted moment on her ITV show sparked backlash online.
The presenter, 66, was wrapping up her programme when she crossed live to This Morning hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, who teased what was coming up on their show. But the exchange quickly took an awkward turn when Cat revealed one of the day’s guests.
Cat, 49, announced: “We’re meeting the man with the world’s smallest penis.” Ben, 51, followed up with a quip aimed at Lorraine, saying: “Yes… a little bit of everything for you today, Lorraine.”
As the camera cut back to Lorraine, she could be seen visibly shaking her head before responding: “Honestly, honestly.” Moments later, she burst out laughing and added: “Only on This Morning!”

While Cat and Ben looked slightly uncomfortable, Lorraine struggled to contain her giggles, covering her face with her hands as she tried to regain composure. The moment didn’t go unnoticed by viewers, many of whom were quick to share their disapproval online.

Social media users accused the TV veteran of being insensitive, with one posting: “Dear me #Lorraine, grow up.”
Another asked bluntly: “Why is she laughing?”
A third viewer questioned the double standard, writing: “If a woman came on with the world’s smallest breasts would they be quick to laugh or make jokes?”
The guest in question, Michael Phillips, has previously spoken candidly about his condition and how it has affected his life. The North Carolina resident revealed he was officially diagnosed in 2024 after seeking medical advice due to long-standing concerns.

Michael explained that worries over his size had followed him for years, impacting his confidence, relationships and dating life. Eventually, he decided to consult a doctor, who confirmed he has a rare condition known as a micropenis.
He told The Sun: “I was actually looking to see if there is a Guinness world record for the smallest and see if I can enter for that.
“I try to turn a negative into a positive, so I’m trying to make everything a positive – so if I can get a title out of it then great.”
Michael added: “I went to the doctor about four or five months ago with concerns over my penis size. I was informed there is a condition called a micropenis.
“I was referred to a urologist. I was always aware it had been small, but wasn’t aware there was a condition for it.”
The condition has had a profound effect on his daily life, leaving him unable to have sex and requiring him to sit down to urinate.
“The main reason I went to the doctor was because my penis is actually too small to have sex at all,” he said.
“I have had a couple experiences of having sex and wasn’t able to get it in and everything. From there I just stopped trying to date and lost interest in it.”
