Ruth Langsford, 65, has reportedly been left “furious” amid a reported growing rift between her ex-husband Eamonn Holmes, 66, and their son Jack, 22. It has been alleged that the GB News host failed to contact Jack over Christmas, as he enjoyed spending the festive season with his new love, Katie Alexander, 43.

A source told Bella Magazine: “She says the least Eamonn could have done was to reach out and wish him good tidings and keep the door open. She won’t forgive him.” The magazine also claims Eamonn gave his older children; son Niall and daughter Rebecca, whom he shares with his former wife Gabrielle, “the cold shoulder” over Christmas.

The GB News host took some time away from the screens over the festive period to treat his girlfriend to a romantic Christmas getaway as the couple enjoyed £270-a-night stay at a holiday cottage in Yorkshire.

An eyewitness told The Sun that the pair was seen arriving at the luxurious Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, on Boxing Day. The 43-year-old marriage counsellor appeared festive, wearing a red jumper, a red and white striped shirt, and jeans.

This was among several trips the couple took this year, including a visit to Eamonn’s hometown of Belfast, Northern Ireland, following a luxurious holiday in Cyprus.

They stayed at a five-star hotel in Paphos with Katie’s three older children, and were seen returning from a cruise aboard a mega yacht that featured a buffet lunch, drinks, and a glass-bottomed aquarium deck.

Express.co.uk has contacted Eamonn and Ruth’s representatives for comment.

The breakdown in communication between Eamonn and his son Jack is thought to be a particularly painful consequence of his separation from Ruth, which they announced in 2024 after 27 years together and 14 years of marriage.

Although Eamonn has been committed to Katie for a while, Ruth has remained single, choosing to focus on her work commitments, including QVC and Loose Women.

But it has not been all plain sailing, as she has spoken openly about turning to therapy in the aftermath of her painful split.

“I started counselling when Eamonn and I separated, and I’m still having it. It is very powerful and very useful. It gives me tools to deal with things,” she candidly told Woman and Home.
