Gordon Ramsay has finally spoken out about his daughter Holly’s wedding to athlete Adam Peaty, amidst a family feud with the Olympian’s relatives. During an appearance on This Morning, Gordon defended his fiery father-of-the-bride speech, describing it as ‘perfect.’ The renowned chef confessed that it had been a “tough” assignment, but he rose to the challenge. “Being a dad of three daughters, you dream of that moment,” he shared with hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard.

“I was a hot mess but the speech was perfect,” adding: “It went well”, continuing: “You’ve got to be warm and emotional but it was a tough gig.”

His eldest daughter Tilly chimed in: “It was so emotional but so incredible to see her and Adam so happy. It was a big day for all of us.” She further described the day as “perfect”. Holly and Adam were married on 27 December, however, only one of Adam’s family members attended the wedding due to the ongoing feud, reports The Mirror.

Adam’s mother, along with several other family members, were not invited to his special day – only his sister Bethany was present. The dispute reportedly started when Adam’s mother Caroline purchased a dress for the wedding that the couple disapproved of, before Caroline was excluded from Holly’s glamorous hen do at Soho Farmhouse with Tana Ramsay and Victoria Beckham.

Gordon’s “perfect” speech at the wedding reportedly included several jibes at Adam’s family amidst the continuing feud between the Ramsays and the Peatys.

The Kitchen Nightmares star was reportedly overheard remarking that his wife Tana “will be a good mum to them both,” during the aftermath, according to The Sun.

Gordon also praised Holly’s appearance and told Adam he was a “lucky man”, noting: “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.”

In what appeared to be a pointed reference to Adam’s absent parents, he told the 25 year old Holly: “Shame you don’t have the same.”
