“Give me Canelo in 10 days” – Jake Paul names next opponent after suffering a double broken jaw vs. Anthony Joshua

 

Jake Paul shook the combat sports world by taking on Anthony Joshua on Friday night. Paul was already at a disadvantage by taking on the much bigger Joshua, but ‘The Problem Child’ now has other issues to deal with after the clash.

Paul was doing well initially as the former heavyweight champion, Joshua, tried to get his bearings. It seemed for a while that Paul might just sneak a win, but the British star got into his groove and knocked out the YouTuber in the sixth round.

While speaking to Ariel Helwani after the loss, Paul claimed he had broken his jaw. ‘The Problem Child’ also shared an image where his teeth were terrible misaligned after Joshua’s knockout punch.

The former Disney star then shared an x-ray of his show where he confined that his jaw had broken in two places.

Paul also called out another boxing legend in Canelo Alvarez for his next fight and claimed he wanted to face the Mexican in 10 days.

“Double broken jaw. Give me Canelo in 10 days.”

Paul had earlier claimed that a deal to fight Canelo was done. However, Canelo last fought Terence Crawford where he was defeated.

Crawford, for his part, recently announced his retirement but Paul believed that he would be fight the professional boxer in 2026.

Ryan Garcia makes bold claim after Jake Paul’s loss

Many from the combat sports world were left unhappy with the fight given that Anthony Joshua didn’t look like himself and took six rounds to put Jake Paul down.

However, boxer Ryan Garcia had another take where Paul might have been in more trouble had he faced another boxer.

Garcia posted this on his X account:

“I think Gervonta would’ve done him worse.”

Paul was originally to face Gervonta Davis in November of 2025 in this Netflix special. That fight had to be canceled due to Davis’ legal troubles and Paul not being able to find another opponent.
