GB News presenter Eamonn Holmes, 66, took some time away from the screens over the festive period to treat his girlfriend, Katie Alexander, to a romantic Christmas getaway. The couple enjoyed a £270-a-night stay at a holiday cottage in Yorkshire. According to an eyewitness via The Sun, the duo were spotted arriving at Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, on Boxing Day. The 43-year-old marriage counsellor was seemingly in the festive spirit as he was reportedly dressed in a red jumper, red and white striped shirt and jeans.

She could be seen helping the broadcaster, who suffers from chronic back pain, out of the car before they made their way inside. They were also joined by Katie’s three children and dog. The luxury Yorkshire resort boasts a spa, three restaurants, a private cinema and two golf courses as well as 300 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland, perfect for their adorable pooch.

According to the website, a range of accommodations is available, with the most expensive option, Gardeners Cottage, costing up to £448 per night. It features three double bedrooms, two en-suite bathrooms, a private garden, and a hot tub.

This is one of many getaways the couple enjoyed this year, as they also travelled to Eamonn’s native home of Belfast, Northern Ireland, which came after a luxury holiday to Cyprus.

Alongside Katie’s three older children, they stayed in a five-star hotel in Paphos, and the group was spotted returning from a cruise on a mega yacht that provided a buffet lunch, drinks, and a glass-bottom aquarium deck.

This comes as Eamonn has yet to finalise his divorce from his estranged wife, Loose Women star Ruth Langsford, with whom he was for 27 years.

The former couple confirmed they were parting ways after being married for 14 years in May 2024, with a shocking statement that prompted Ruth to take time off from her panellist gig on ITV.

While Eamonn has moved on, Ruth is reportedly keen to also find Mr Right, as a source claimed: “She’s looking for someone not grumpy, someone fun who makes her laugh, is really important. Ruth has a great sense of humour, so he’s got to have that sense of humour and fun.”

According to the Mirror, the insider added: “When it comes to dating, she’s not going online – she’s old school.

“It’s through friends, going out and being social. She’s doing it the old way, where you meet someone in a bar or restaurant, or through mates. She’s keeping her eye out.”
