Prince Harry was humiliated on Sky News after Meghan Markle stepped onto the red carpet without him. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, was all smiles as she attended the Fifteen Percent Pledge Fundraising Gala over the weekend. Harry, 41, was notably absent from the event and is believed to have stayed at the couple’s Montecito home with their children Archie, six, and Lilibet, four.

Sky News Australia host Rita Panahi was joined by royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, who didn’t mince her words when it came to discussing Meghan’s latest red carpet appearance. “My question is, where’s Meghan Markle’s mum? If you’re not going to bring your man, at least let your mum feel glam,” she told the presenter. “Her running around town alone does not dispel rumours that Hollywood can’t stand her and she’s running out of friends.”

She added that Harry has “become the spare in his own marriage”.

Schofield also pointed out that the public is reminded of this every time Meghan poses on the red carpet in front of the “evil press that makes her life so hard”.

The Fifteen Percent Pledge Fundraising Gala was held at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles and aims to celebrate black-owned businesses. The Fifteen Percent Pledge, founded by Aurora James, gives support to these businesses by providing access to capital, mentorship, skills training, and opportunities to partner with other companies.

The former Suits actress cut an elegant figure in a custom-made gown from Harbison Studio, which featured a black cape placed on her arms. She teamed her glamorous ensemble with a pair of black heeled sandals and statement black earrings.

Speaking about the reason and timing of Meghan’s appearance in relation to the latest Epstein scandal surrounding the royals, PR expert Rhea Freeman said that she believes the event “aligns well” with Meghan’s current lifestyle and brand.

She told the Daily Express: “To me, Meghan’s appearance at the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala is well aligned to the path she’s treading now.
