Prince Harry is reportedly “very wary” of Meghan Markle’s plans to expand her As Ever lifestyle brand. The Duke of Sussex, 41, is believed to be concerned about the big financial hit that his wife might take due to international distribution and marketing costs.

Meghan plans to exploit the overseas market, including audiences in the UK, despite criticism after As Ever underperformed in the US. A website glitch last month exposed large stock records for several products including approximately 220,000 jars of jam, 30,000 jars of honey, 90,000 candles, 80,000 flower sprinkles tin, and around 70,000 bottles of wine.

It’s thought that this is the reason Harry is concerned about Meghan’s vision but his opinion has only served to “rile” the Duchess up, the Mirror reports. An insider said: “He isn’t saying that she ought to throw in the towel; he just wants her to take it at a more sensible pace as the cash isn’t flowing the way it used to.

“If Harry wants to stay on her good side, he’d do well to stop trying to be the voice of reason. She’s not going to take his advice anyway, and all he’s doing is riling her up.”

According to Closer, Harry fears the price of international distribution to the likes of the UK will prove to be unsustainable for As Ever. However, Meghan’s range of products, which include jam, honey, and wine, are said to have flown off the website when they were first released in the summer.

This has reportedly kept the business afloat and determined Meghan now believes she can take over the British jam market as part of a global rollout, according to reports. Following the website glitch at the start of this year, sources praised the mum of two’s determination and resilience.

They doubled down on this praise today as one stated: “She’s been gearing up for this next phase for a long time.

“That’s why there’s been so much stock produced, and she’s ready to pull the trigger.”

The insider added that Meghan believes she can make “some serious money” by expanding across the markets of Europe and Asia.

They shared: “It will give her a lot of satisfaction to dominate the UK jam market.

“This is something she really believes will be possible once her brand is exposed to a wider audience in Britain.”

Meghan’s brand was originally launched as American Riviera in March 2024 before it was rebranded to As Ever in February 2025, with the first product collection drop coming that same year in April.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently attended this year’s Sundance Film Festival for the premiere of Girls Scouts documentary Cookie Queens.

Harry and Meghan served as executive producers of the film through their media company, Archewell Productions.

The pair were seen beaming as they posed for snaps with director Alysa Nahmias beforehand.
