Patrick Mahomes – the star quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs – has always had a special supporter behind him: his father, Pat Mahomes. Few know that before being known mainly as “Patrick Mahomes’ dad,” Pat had a long and successful professional baseball career.

Born in Lindale, Texas, Pat attended Lindale High School. Between 1992 and 2003, he played for several major teams including the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, and Pittsburgh Pirates. Pat said he introduced himself to Taylor at Arrowhead Stadium and was surprised she already knew who he was thanks to watching the Netflix series “Quarterback.” Pat described Taylor as down-to-earth and genuine.
