BBC star announces Strictly ‘winner’ hours before show after devastating blow (Image: BBC)
Strictly Come Dancing fans are just hours away from finding out who will walk away as the BBC champion and lift the Glitterball Trophy. Former show star Brendan Cole has let slip who will be crowned the show winner.
The three Strictly finalists include Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin, George Clarke and Alexis Warr, and Karen Carney and Carlos Gu. They will battle it out on the dancefloor on Saturday night but one show star has been dealt a devastating blow.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk on behalf of Sky Vegas, Brendan, 49, predicted one show contestant will not win.
He commented: “It’s not going to be Amber [who will win the Glitterball]. She’s been in the bottom two twice now, despite topping the leaderboard, which tells you everything you need to know. The audience isn’t voting for her.

She’s extremely good, almost perfect over the last couple of weeks, very competent with very little wrong in her dancing, but she’s not getting the public vote. And the final is decided entirely by the public, so she’s not in the picture for winning it.”
Brendan explained it leaves Karen and George to be crowned the winner as the dancer claimed it will be the YouTube sensation.
“With Karen, you’ve got a game of two halves. She’s very likeable and she’s very good. The dancing isn’t brilliant, but there’s something very lovely about her and about her whole journey on Strictly,” he commented.

Brendan added: “George, on the other hand, has a huge following. He’s got millions of followers who are very good at voting.
When it becomes a numbers game of picking up the phone or voting online, he’s very hard to beat. I don’t see it going any other way than him winning it.”
Fans will have to tune in on Saturday night to find out who is crowned show champion.
This year’s journey has been particularly emotional with the upcoming farewell of the show’s iconic hosting duo, Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
