Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay may have finally tied the knot, but the family drama could be far from over after spotlight was shone on their wedding as his family remained shunned from the lavish celebration. The pair wed at Bath Abbey in front of a star-studded guest list, but notable absence surrounded his immediate family. Bombshells had been emerging even before the big day, but by the time it finally rolled around, drama continued to bubble.
His mum Caroline had previously threatened to gatecrash the lavish event, but while she didn’t, there was still drama surrounding them after the incredibly public fallout between Adam and his family. Only one person from his immediate family was invited, and attended, his special day, which was his sister Bethany.

While there is an ongoing feud, Adam’s mother Caroline told MailOnline ahead of the big day that there is “nothing I won’t forgive”, and that they are both still loved. But she said: “Just because you love somebody and that love is intense, don’t forget the other people around you. A wedding day is such a happy event, and I think family should have been the priority at that wedding.”
On the day before the wedding, she said that it felt like they had “cut my heart out”, and added: “I don’t think they understand how much they have hurt me.” Meanwhile, Adam’s sister Bethany did come to the lavish event and he was more than happy to have her in attendance.
Moments before the wedding took place, he received a text from his aunt, who had also been excluded from the big day, which read: “I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through and despite it all she loves you still. Shame on you both. Shame.”
Chaos ensued when a group of photographers attempted to intercept her arrival with her father Gordon Ramsay which allegedly resulted in confrontations with security outside as bodyguards formed a protective cordon around them, according to Hello! Magazine.
Another bombshell occured after Adam sent his dad a text to say that he could attent, but would have to sit at the back of the church while their 200 other friends and family sat closer.
Celebrities filled the venue, with the likes of David and Victoria Beckham and three of their children, as well as broadcaster Dan Walker.
After the service they headed to their reception at Kin House, a Georgian manor house 17 miles away from the Abbey for a lavish bash.
