GB News presenter Patrick Christys didn’t hold back when he returned to his programme on Friday evening after falling ill just days before, when he needed to be replaced at the last minute. During his latest late-night programme, he directly addressed viewers and his studio audience, giving Sir Keir Starmer two brutal nicknames live on air.
Christys began: “Labour is delaying more elections. Nearly 10 million people won’t have the right to vote until 2027. I’m sorry, but are we being run by Keir Jong Un?” Comparing Starmer with the North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un, GB News aired an edited clip of the UK Prime Minister’s face over the Supreme Leader’s body walking down a red carpet.
Laughing could be heard by members of Christys’ audience before the host added: “Or, what about Vladkeir Putin?” The presenter laughed as he shared the second nickname, this time comparing Starmer to Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
An edited photograph of Starmer on Putin’s body speaking at a public event was then shown to the audience, who chuckled.
“We all know what is going on, don’t we?” The 33-year-old host added, providing some context about the matter. “Labour and the Tories are in the toilets while Reform is on the charge. Labour has asked the Tories if they’d like to delay local elections and mayoral elections, and both of them have said, ‘Yeah.’”
He claimed that around 63 local councils will probably have their elections delayed.
The GB News star expanded: “Local elections in places like Suffolk, East and West Sussex and Essex have been put back once. But if the elections are delayed again in any of those areas, it will mean some councillors will have a seat for seven years without facing local voters – which is mad, isn’t it?”
Ministers have indicated that they will agree to postpone elections set for next May until 2027 if the authorities request it by mid-January.
Earlier this week, Reform UK Leader Nigel Farage accused Labour and the Conservatives of working together to stop his party from making further gains.
GB News airs daily on Freeview, Sky and YouTube.
