HEARTBREAKING: Loose Women star Janet Street Porter shares health UPDATE from HOSPITAL following knee surgery

Loose Women star Janet Street Porter shared a health update from the hospital during Wednesday afternoon’s show following her knee replacement surgery.
On Monday, fans were left gutted when the outspoken panelist revealed she’d be taking a three-week break. However, this afternoon (October 29), she returned via video.
The 71-year-old journalist further explained that the operation, which took place yesterday, was for her right knee, after having had her “left knee done eight or nine years ago”.

During Wednesday’s Loose Women, JSP looked as good as new as she updated fans via a video from the hospital.
“Hi! I’m back. Look at me, at my hospital bed. Sustenance, half a banana, reading glasses, physio instructions – already done them for today. Dreary glass of water, secret bottle of wine in the fridge!” she exclaimed.
Demonstrating the success of the procedure, the star got up from her chair, as she continued: “Anyway, here I am up, mobile. On my walking frame, was doing it yesterday. Hands-free!”

The video was followed with a round of applause from the live audience, Jane Moore then joked that her pal was “like Robocop”.
After sending her love, Jane said she looked forward to welcoming Janet back on the panel soon. However, a set return date for the star is yet to be confirmed.

Janet’s second surgery in 12 months
Last November, the panel welcomed Janet back to the show after she took a break following a hip replacement.
The star underwent the surgery in October 2024, following long-term pain. “You had been in a lot of pain for a long time,” Ruth Langsford said upon Janet’s return last November.
“Yes, I was hunched up, and it didn’t help that I fell down the stairs two hours before I left for the hospital,” she exclaimed. “I got through the horrible first four days of feeling uncomfortable, although I walked from day one.”
She later continued: “By the time I had the operation, I was in a terrible place. The surgeon said to me my spine was completely out of alignment. When he did it, I felt lopsided, but now I’m standing straighter!”
