The This Morning star shared a touching tribute to his colleagues as they mark the ‘end of an era’
Presenter Dermot O’Leary has taken a moment to thank some of the team on This Morning as many of them prepare to leave the ITV show.
The 52-year-old shared a snap on social media of the crew in the studio, all waving with their hands up in the air as the set is adorned with Christmas decorations.
He captioned the post: “A quick word about an incredible team. The last day for many at @thismorning. For some, it’s the end of an era, for others, the start of a new story.
“I just wanted to say thanks for all their selfless hard work, going above and beyond to put out two hours plus of TV every day.
“Turning up with professionalism, humour, and good grace every day. Doing what they do in the shadows… so we get to dance under those lights. Big love TM x”.

It wasn’t long before people commented on the post, with many other people featured on the show echoing Dermot’s kind words.
Rochelle Humes, who often co-hosts, said: “Absolutely spot on Derm, the best team ever! Echoing everything. I feel so lucky to have spent so much time with the best bunch.”
Ashley James, who regularly appears to share her thoughts on This Morning, said: “Amazing words and I echo everything. Thank you to the best team ever.”
Kate Lawler shared: “Big love to everyone at TM! The warmest and friendliest folk in tele, every single one x”
While Dr Nighat Arif added: “Absolutely- echo every word- such an amazing team and a HUGE honour to work with the legends. Sending love.”
His post comes after ITV announced earlier this year that it was axing more than 220 jobs and making cuts to shows as part of a huge shake-up for 2026, which will also see changes to the daytime schedule.
Good Morning Britain will now be extended by 30 minutes and will be produced by ITV News at ITN. Lorraine has been cut to half an hour and will run from 9.30am-10am for 30 weeks of the year.

When Lorraine isn’t on in the year, Good Morning Britain will run from 6am to 10am. While Loose Women timings haven’t changed, it will air on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks of the year.
Due to this, many stars on who appear on the ITV shows have left, including Andrew Pierce, Sally Biddulph, Richard Gaisford and US correspondent Noel Phillips.
