‘DERANGED TO THE VERY END’ — In a Dark Satirical ‘STATEMENT,’ T.r.u.m.p Blames a Fictional Rob Reiner D3ath on ‘T.r.u.m.p Derangement Syndrome,’ Sparking Fury Over How Far His Obsession Now Goes

Donald Trump launched an extraordinary attack on Rob Reiner on Monday afternoon, just hours after it emerged the film director and his wife had died. The statement, issued on the US President’s social media platform Truth Social, described the death of the film director as “very sad”.

However, the statement then turned into a shocking rant, with the US leader saying the couple’s death was “reportedly due to the anger he caused others” through “Trump derangement syndrome”. The message read: “A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS.

“He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before. May Rob and Michele rest in peace!”

Mr Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead at their property overnight.

Police have launched a homicide investigation after saying a 78-year-old man and 68-year-old woman were pronounced dead at a house in an upmarket neighbourhood of LA on Sunday.

Mr Reiner’s son, Nick, 32, has been “booked for murder” and is being held on $4million bail, Los Angeles police chief Jim McDonnell said. Police said the 32-year-old is a suspect in the case of the deaths of Mr and Mrs Reiner.

Mr Reiner is known for directing masterpieces such as When Harry Met Sally, Stand By Me and This is Spinal Tap.

He also championed liberal causes and was a lifelong Democrat. Among those who paid tribute to the film director were former US First Lady and US President Michelle and Barack Obama, who said to be “heartbroken”.

The film director was also a vocal critic of the current US President, and in 2017 Mr Reiner claimed Mr Trump was “mentally unfit” to be president.

“Donald Trump is the single-most unqualified human being to ever assume the presidency of the United States,” he said.
