In a recent episode of the show, Debbie and her best girlfriends downed a few cocktails and bonded at her home.
But when Debbie fell asleep, Bernie discovered her secret cupboard where she posts notes to herself to help her remember things and she is relying on it more and more.
It was a poignant reminder of how hard life is for Debbie at the moment and that’s not even taking into account of how her brother Carl is gaslighting her.
But some Corrie fans believe that Carl might not be who we think he is in the much loved soap.
A fan took to Tiktok and said: “Someone said in the comments that Debbie turns out to be Carl’s mother and not his sister.
“Prediction, Debbie’s dementia worsens and she comes out casually with it.”
Fans rushed to respond and one wrote: “That would explain why Kevin always says to her “you always treat him like the blue eyed boy”.
Another added: “And the line to Abi when she said she was good enough for Kevin but not Carl.”
“I’m a few weeks behind and the signs are there. Thought this for ages!” said another fan.
While a fourth said: “That would bring a lot of drama to the cobbles!”
“I read ages ago that it was gonna come out that Debbie is actually his mum!” exclaimed another fan of the show.
If the fans have got it right – then the feud between the two brothers will get even worse especially if she blurts it out during her wedding to Ronnie.
Meanwhile, in a more worrying twist Emmerdale‘s Belle Dingle dropped a number of hints that she was the wedding planner organising Debbie Webster’s Christmas Day nuptials this week.
ITV’s teaser for the upcoming mash-up of soaps states: “Corridale is just the start of the drama as the aftermath of the crash gives rise to fear, murderous intent, death, destruction, closely-guarded secrets, and lies.
“Life in Emmerdale and Weatherfield will never be the same again!”
The atmospheric trailer makes clear that the much-loved soaps have gone all out, with a spectacular stunt that could have far-reaching consequences for everyone involved.
A multi-vehicle pile-up is at the centre of the action that sees Emmerdale and Weatherfield collide.
Screams are heard calling for help as emergency services arrive on the scene.
The crossover episode will air on Monday, January 5 at 8pm.
On that evening, Emmerdale will be broadcast at 7pm, before Coronation Street at 7.30pm.
Then the historic Corriedale will follow on a one-hour slot – let’s pray our Debbie is safe.
