Loose Women’s Nadia Sawalha opened up about a huge row with her husband Mark Adderley just days before Christmas.

On Tuesday’s show, the panellists – made up of Jane Moore, Brenda Edwards, Myleene Klass and Nadia, 61 – discussed the topic of ‘are you guilty of giving the silent treatment’.

To which Nadia admitted she and husband Mark, who she has been married to since 2002, had a huge row on Monday which resulted in her blocking him on WhatsApp.

Host, Jane, 63, pointed out to Nadia: “You had one yesterday didn’t you?” to which Nadia responded: “Now, Jane!”

The presenter then admitted: “I was being all virtuous this morning, wasn’t I? When I was younger, I was terribly into the silent treatment but you know now Mark and I we’ve really learnt to discuss things. Yes, we argue sometimes but I don’t do the silent treatment.

“Then I remembered we had a massive row yesterday and I blocked him on WhatsApp! So I had to go back to the girls a couple of hours later and confess and go ‘actually, I do block him, is that like silent?’”

To which Jane joked: “I didn’t even know you could block people!”

Nadia continued: “I mean it is an awful thing to do because it is totally doing the silent treatment but I’d convinced myself, I don’t do the silent treatment anymore, but I do digital silence in my own house!”

With Jane joking: “Mark will be watching this now going…” to which Nadia responded: “I’m sure he won’t be watching it but he’ll hear about this because somebody will tell him.

“But I do block him because I get to a certain point and we’re going round in circles, and then it’s like neither of us can give up so and actually the argument is actually very silly but we were just so stressed with everything going on and I could see it was blowing and blowing and blowing and blowing so I stopped.

“Then I did unblock him a couple of hours later and did actually say ‘should we just forget, what are we actually arguing about, you know, we’re stressed. I love you, you love me, let’s just stop and if I hadn’t blocked him’, it was a gracious act!”
