Strictly Come Dancing’s Dianne Buswell has shared pictures of her baby shower with Joe Sugg on Instagram. The pair are currently in Australia, having jetted off to Dianne’s homeland for the festive season. Professional dancer Dianne and YouTuber Joe are eagerly awaiting the birth of their first child, who they’ve revealed is a boy.

Dianne and Joe’s romance blossomed back in 2018 when they were partners on the BBC dance show. After making it to the final, they confirmed their relationship and have been sharing snippets of their life together online ever since.

Fans were overjoyed when Dianne announced her pregnancy just weeks before the 23rd series of Strictly kicked off in September. Making history as the first pregnant dancer to compete on the show, Dianne was paired with Neighbours icon Stefan Dennis.

Unfortunately, their partnership was cut short when the actor, known for his role as Paul Robinson, had to bow out due to injury, reports the Manchester Evening News. She was among the stars who returned for the 2025 final in December, which saw Karen Carney and Carlos Gu lift the glitterball trophy.

Posting on Instagram on Friday (January 2), Dianne revealed that her relatives organised a baby shower for her and Joe before their return to Britain. One photograph showed Dianne looking radiant in a gorgeous blue floral gown as she stood beside a ‘baby bloom’ sign with Joe, who donned a crisp white shirt and cream shorts.

The Buswell residence was adorned with blue balloons and ribbons, with Dianne capturing a moment alongside her parents Rina and Mark. Sporting a ‘mum to be’ sash, she and Joe were spoilt with an enormous cake and an array of delicious refreshments.

In an amusing segment, the pair had to demonstrate their nappy-changing abilities using dolls before participating in a Mr and Mrs quiz, tackling ‘who is more likely to’ questions.

Dianne wrote in her caption: “Our Australian baby shower with the family. Thank you to my gals @rinabuswell @the_buswells and Mia for putting so much effort in to make it so fun and special.”

The post’s comment section buzzed with well-wishes from Dianne and Joe’s celebrity pals and supporters, all eager to congratulate them ahead of welcoming their firstborn.

Vito Coppola gushed: “Bellissimi, oh guys cannot wait. Love this so much and everyone is just so excited to meet your little boy.”

Ellie Leach chimed in: “So beautiful.” Nancy Xu expressed: “I can’t wait to meet our little boy.”

News of Dianne’s baby shower came as she rounded off her 2025 with a heartfelt message to her unborn son. Sharing an ultrasound image, she penned: “2025 you had a bit of everything love loss and new life I’m extremely proud of everything I managed to achieve this year.

“But I think my greatest achievement has been creating this little man, extremely grateful for it all. Can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store apart from dirty nappies and sleepless nights. Wishing you all health and happiness in the new year x”.
