STRICTLY Come Dancing fans have been left fuming after a show source leaked the results of Icons Week – branding the evicted star’s exit as “incredibly undeserved.”

Other BBC viewers told how the outcome of the elimination was “so much worse than feared.”

Meanwhile, some Strictly loyals suggested the bottom two pairings reflected “what a mess the judge’s voting is.”

Like previous seasons the Sunday night results show, although presented as live, is filmed on Saturday night after the main live BBC One show.

The money-saving move means that for years the results have leaked online – and this year is no exception.

The contestants in the bottom two for Icons Week – which saw the likes of Cher, Cheryl and Harry Styles tributes take to the stage – and therefore the dance-off have now been revealed.

The judges votes – with Anton Du Beke having the casting decision – have also come to light.

His position followed the rule change, which now sees head judge Shirley Ballas sharing the power to decide who goes home with her fellow judges.

The Sun will not reveal the identity of the celebrity eliminated from the show in order to preserve the surprise for viewers.

Yet we have shared a few of their angry reations.

One took to social media after the Strictly mole’s reveal and put: “I knew whatever the result was it was going to hurt but ITS SO MUCH WORSE THAN I FEARED.’

A second put: “Being in the dance off full stop is one of those incredibly underserved moments. Easily in the top half of performers and seemed to be quite popular.

A third bluntly reacted: “All I’ll say about this – the result is a complete joke – wrong two people in the dance off and wrong person went out.”

One then added: “It also shows what a mess the judges voting is for these two to be in the bottom two, not the worst of the night.”

On a night which saw icons of the stage brought to life in the Strictly ballroom, Lewis and Katya topped the points table with 34 for their Quickstep.

George and Alexis came bottom with 27 for their Jive – yet four couples were tied just above them with 28.

Strictly Curse – The Lowdown

STRICTLY Come Dancing’s latest series has already been hit by rumours of a BBC show ‘curse’ – yet what is it?

A host of Strictly Come Dancing stars have been struck by the Strictly Curse during the past two decades.

This is where celebrities who may or may not be attached in the outside world become more than friends with their professional partners.

A total of 20 relationships are said to have been impacted so far over the show’s 20 years.

It has seen relationships crumble with dance floor romances and punishing rehearsal schedules to blame.

This includes the partnerships of Louise and Jamie Redknapp as well as Kevin Clifton and Karen Hauer.

Controversially, Judge Craig Revel Horwood once said of the curse: “I think of it as a blessing, to be honest. One person is married, the other one had a girlfriend but my point in this entire thing is: if you come on Strictly, sometimes you are in a relationship that is not working anyway.

“There has to be something wrong in your relationship before it all goes awry.”

Series one winner Brendan Cole left his fiancé, fellow Strictly professional Camilla Dallerup, during filming for the very first series in spring 2004.

Brendan was said to have fallen for his celebrity partner and inaugural winner Natasha Kaplinsky, although the duo didn’t confirm they were romantically involved.

ICONS GALORE

Strictly’s Icons Week saw the show celebs take on the roles of their favourite performers.

Yet judges faced a backlash after fans suggested George and Alexis were subject to notably harsh criticism for their number – a Jive to Harry Styles‘ popular song As It Was.

The pair lit up the floor in their fun white outfits peppered in red hearts.

Though when it came to receiving their scores, it wasn’t so upbeat.

George received a number of criticisms, most strongly from judge Craig Revel Horwood.

He said the dance was “a little flat-footed which made it then look a bit stompy”, that they weren’t dancing on beat, and their circle movements went “all horribly wrong”.

This led one fan to fume on social media: “I’ve seen many things tonight, and George being bottom of the leaderboard should not have been one of them.

‘Someone better hold me back before the judges and I start beefing.”

SHOW SHOCK

Meanwhile, hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman got teary as they opened the first show since announcing they were quitting at the end of the series.

Tess and Claudia announced their plans to step down from hosting Strictly Come Dancing on Thursday.

The two made history as primetime television’s first female presenting duo when they paired up to co-host the show in 2014.

Both had been part of Strictly since 2004, Tess hosting the main show with Bruce Forsyth and Claudia on spin-off It Takes Two.

Tess didn’t waste any time addressing the elephant in the room on Saturday night.

Moments into the show, she said: “Tonight, our couples will pay tribute to some of the greatest music legends of all time.

“Just before we get started, Claudia and I announced this week that this will be our last series of Strictly Come Dancing.

“We want to thank you for your beautiful messages.

“We’ve got another eight weeks on this incredible show, and a Strictly champion to crown.

“And we cannot wait to spend the rest of the series with you, with our amazing couples, and of course, with these four, please welcome the judges!”
