Cam Skattebo gave Giants fans an unnecessary scare.

New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo posted a concerning message on Instagram, leaving fans concerned.

Cam Skattebo was having an excellent rookie season for the Giants before, unfortunately, suffering a season-ending ankle injury in Week 8 against the NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles.

Though his season ended two months ago, Skattebo has kept fans up to date with his social media accounts and Twitch stream. This included a hilarious moment where Skattebo shotgunned a drink out of a sneaker to celebrate 1,000 subscribers.

But Skattebo’s latest social media activity was no laughing matter. On Christmas morning, he posted a photo of IV fluid, thanking a “Dr. Mark” for helping him. Skattebo didn’t specify the problem, only saying he “woke up feelin crappy.”

Thankfully, it appears that Skattebo is alright now. Hopefully, he’s doing alright and is having a happy holiday with his loved ones.

Cam Skattebo Is A Key Part Of The Giants’ Future

Skattebo’s rookie season ended with 410 rushing yards, five rushing touchdowns and 24 catches for 207 yards and two touchdowns, per ESPN. He would have pushed for 1,000 rushing yards if not for the season-ending injury, too.

As terrible as the season has been for the Giants, there is a promising foundation to build around on offense. Skattebo, rising superstar wideout Malik Nabers (his season ended with a torn ACL) and rookie QB Jaxson Dart give this fanbase a lot to be excited about.

Dart has kept the Giants in some games they had no business staying close in. If Skattebo and Nabers were both healthy, New York would have more than two more wins. But these three young stars alone will provide plenty of optimisim for the future.
