After months of public fallout, Adam Peaty has finally married Holly Ramsay. While his mum and members of his immediate family were shunned from the lavish celebration, the pair tied the knot at Bath Abbey in front of a star-studded guest list.

And after mum Caroline backtracked on her threat to gatecrash proceedings, the day wasn’t without drama as all eyes focused on their big day. The couple exchanged vows at the historic venue amid the hugely public fallout between Adam and his family, which led to his nearest and dearest being dramatically uninvited. The only member of his close clan that seemed to be in support on his special day was his sister, Bethany.

Despite the ongoing family feud Caroline says there is nothing she won’t forgive. Speaking to MailOnline she said: “As a mother, all you want your children to do is be happy in their relationships. I’ve not done this to ruin their wedding. It’s their wedding, yes, it’s a happy day – but it needs to be said.

“They are both still loved, there is nothing I won’t forgive, and I want them to have the best day. And what I want to say to Adam is stand by each other. But just because you love somebody and that love is intense, don’t forget the other people around you.

“A wedding day is such a happy event, and I think family should have been the priority at that wedding.”

Gordon’s proud tribute

Hours before he was snapped looking as proud as can be on his daughter’s wedding day, chef Gordon took to social media to share a sweet nod to his child. He posted a reel of images of the pair, including one of him kissing Holly on the cheek.

His upload was complete with a touching tribute which read: “I’m truly so lucky being able to walk this beautiful bride down the aisle and gaining an incredible son in law @adam_peaty! I love you so much @hollyramsayy and couldn’t be a prouder Dad xxx”

It was always going to be a star-studded occasion. Whether the Peaty family joined or not, the Olympian and actress have an influx of famous faces they call pals. As does Holly’s dad, famous chef Gordon Ramsay.

Ahead of the ceremony, photographers were trigger happy as the swarm of guests arrived at Bath Abbey. Among them were Victoria and David Beckham and their son Cruz. However, longtime pal of Holly, Brooklyn Beckham, was nowhere to be seen as he remained embroiled in his own family fallout.

Presenter Dan Walker was also in attendance, as was Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies, who starred alongside Holly’s sister Tilly on Strictly Come Dancing.

Despite the family feud, Adam was joined by sister Bethany for his big day. Other family members were cut from the proceedings, but Adam remained close to his sibling and made her a big part of the occasion.

One source said there were ‘chaotic’ scenes outside the abbey

There were chaotic scenes ahead of Adam Peaty’s nuptials to Holly Ramsay as the bride appeared to find herself surrounded by photographers upon her arrival with her father Gordon. It’s claimed a group tried to intercept Ramsay and her father’s arrival., which allegedly led to confrontations with security personnel outside the abbey.

As bodyguards formed a protective cordon around the Ramsays, a skirmish is said to have erupted in a confined passageway beside the venue. A source told Hello! Magazine that the situation “descended into chaos”.

A body language expert praised Holly’s appearance and claimed she looked to be in “full control” of her big day. Judi James told the Mirror: “Holly looked very much like the confident and radiantly happy bride, fully in control of her image as she walked into church with dad Gordon.

“Her dress was artfully swathed and concealed under a silk cloak that she kept pulled in front of her torso to avoid any leaks of the design. Her smile was very A-list, aimed in part at the ground, although she also raised her head to share her happiness.”

Family’s subtle dig

While they weren’t involved in the ceremony, a subtle offering appears to have made the Peaty family’s feelings clear on Adam’s big day. As they stayed hundreds of miles away, a Union Flag was spotted at their property flying upside down.

Whether it was intentional or not is up for debate. However, the inverted flag is seen internationally as a symbol of distress, leading some wondering whether it was a dig at the Olympian on his big day following their bitter family fallout.

Lavish reception

Adam, Holly and their party headed to Georgian manor Kin House for their reception

If a ceremony at the historic Bath Abbey wasn’t enough, Holly and Adam splashed out for a lavish afterparty. The duo and their guests headed to Kin House, a superb Georgian manor.

The venue boasts a secret stage, a private pool and 10-acre garden, as well as a dressing room which even comes with hair-washing stations and a barber on the top floor ready for “pre-party preparations”.

And, according to the venue’s website, the celebrations could go long into the night. It says: “Guests staying with us are welcome to carry on the party in Fitz Bar, which is open until the early hours.”
